Country-House Weddings
At home at manor houses, stately homes and grand country estates across the region.
Relaxed, natural wedding photography in Smethwick, covering the readings, the vows, the confetti and the evening celebration, with twenty-five years of experience and hand-finished albums.
Serving Smethwick
Smethwick is home to a large Sikh community and the historic Guru Nanak Gurdwara. We travel throughout the West Midlands for church and civil weddings, and Bearwood, Oldbury and Handsworth are all familiar to us. We are comfortable in every setting, from a historic church to a relaxed barn or a garden marquee.
Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present at your own church or civil ceremony rather than posing for it. We are at ease with grand country-house weddings and intimate registry-office ceremonies alike. We let the ceremony and the wedding breakfast unfold at their own pace and meet them with a quiet, watchful eye.
Couples across Bearwood, Oldbury and Handsworth trust us with their weddings, and Smethwick, home to a large Sikh community and the historic Guru Nanak Gurdwara, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Birmingham and Coventry. Venues we have photographed at near Smethwick include The Opal Suite, Prestige Suite and Heritage Banqueting Suites.
Smethwick is home to a large Sikh community and the historic Guru Nanak Gurdwara, established in 1961 as one of the first purpose serving gurdwaras in Britain. Smethwick Galton Bridge station provides interchange between the Birmingham to Wolverhampton and Snow Hill lines. For portraits away from the celebration, Warley Woods, a hundred acre community park with woodland and open meadow works beautifully, and The Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick, one of the largest Sikh places of worship in Europe adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
At home at manor houses, stately homes and grand country estates across the region.
From bridal prep to the last dance, every part of the day told as one story.
Calm coverage of the vows, the confetti and the first dance, captured as you lived it and never staged.
Every tradition
We anticipate the first kiss and the walk back down the aisle so neither is ever missed. The exchange of rings is a quiet, tender moment, and we are always in position for it. The first kiss seals the marriage, and we photograph it with care.
We photograph the bridal preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye. We photograph the couple's arrival at the reception, whether by car, on foot or in something grander. The cake cutting is a lovely, classic moment, and we are ready for it.

The whole celebration
We can join you from the first hair-and-make-up call or arrive closer to the ceremony, whichever you prefer. We plan the timings with you in advance, so the morning never feels rushed.
The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the ceremony alone. We document the grand moments and the quiet ones in between, so nothing is lost.
Why choose us
Our experience across church, registry office and licensed civil venues runs deep. Over a thousand weddings have taught us when to step in for the exchange of rings and when to stand quietly back.
From London we reach Smethwick easily, and we know its country houses, barns and parish churches well. We photograph across the West Midlands regularly, and travelling to a Smethwick country house or registry office is second nature.

Where we travel
We cover the whole of the UK for weddings, so the distance to a remote manor house or country church is never a barrier. We are used to days split between a registry office and a country-house reception, and we keep everything flowing between them.

Good to know
British weather is changeable, so we always have a relaxed wet-weather plan ready. We find sheltered spots and lovely light indoors, and a few dry minutes are usually all we need for beautiful couple portraits.
Always. We carry backup cameras, lenses and memory cards to every wedding, and back up your images on the day, so your photographs are safe from the moment they are taken.
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, capturing the day as it happens, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits, so your album holds both natural moments and classic ones.
From our London base, Smethwick and the rest of the West Midlands are an easy, familiar journey. You get a widely experienced wedding specialist who travels to you without fuss and knows the venues of the area well.
Absolutely. The confetti line just after the ceremony is one of the happiest moments of the day, and we position ourselves to capture the couple and every handful thrown, with the guests all around.
