The Vidaai
The most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity and care.
Award-winning Hindu wedding photographer in Baldock, documenting the pre-wedding events, the ceremony and the reception, with second photographers available for the largest celebrations.
Serving Baldock
Baldock is a historic Hertfordshire market town. We photograph Hindu weddings across Hertfordshire, including Letchworth, Hitchin and Royston, at mandaps, temples and banqueting halls. We photograph at temples, mandaps and banqueting halls right across Hertfordshire.
We follow your family's customs closely and photograph them exactly as you keep them. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present in your own wedding. We let the day unfold at its own pace and meet it with a quiet, watchful eye.
We know Baldock and the surrounding part of Hertfordshire well, having photographed Hindu weddings throughout Letchworth, Hitchin and Royston. We are often in nearby Royston and Rickmansworth too.

What we offer
The most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity and care.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the day as you lived it, never staged.
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints designed around your favourite images.
Every tradition
The jaimala, when the couple exchange garlands, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph. The pheras around the agni, each carrying a vow, are the heart of the ceremony, and we capture them close. We photograph the kanyadaan and the joining of hands at the mandap with quiet care.
The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. We document the roka and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. The sangeet is an evening of music and dance, and we capture all of its energy.

The whole celebration
The early events are full of warmth and laughter, and we photograph them with the same care as the ceremony. Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours.
For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the baraat and the bridal prep. The story ends with the griha pravesh that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
We have built our reputation on reliability, warmth and a genuine love of the work. With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a Hindu ceremony surprises us.
Multi-venue days are never an issue; we plan the route and the timings in advance. We factor in travel and timings carefully, so we are always where we need to be.

Where we travel
Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work. We will travel to your mandap, your reception and your pre-wedding events, wherever they are held.

Good to know
Yes. We photograph Gujarati, Punjabi, Marwari and North Indian Hindu weddings, and are familiar with the differences in their rituals and the order of events.
Most Hindu weddings run from the morning preparations through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best. For multi-day celebrations we tailor the hours to your events.
Very much so. We know the mandap rituals by heart, from the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and the saptapadi, and we position ourselves so the sindoor and mangalsutra are always captured.
Auspicious Hindu dates book up well ahead, so we recommend enquiring as early as you can. Tell us your wedding date and we will confirm availability straight away.
Absolutely. We regularly cover the Ganesh puja, haldi, mehndi, sangeet, the wedding and the reception in Baldock, with additional photographers for the largest celebrations.
