The Mandap Ceremony
From the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and saptapadi around the agni, every ritual and its timing understood.
Storytelling Hindu wedding photography in Billericay, covering the haldi, the mehndi, the sangeet and the mandap in full, with calm, storytelling coverage and fine-art albums.
Serving Billericay
Billericay is an Essex town with country-house venues. We regularly photograph Hindu weddings throughout Brentwood, Wickford and Basildon and the surrounding part of Essex. We cover the whole of the Home Counties, and Billericay and the towns around it are well known to us.
We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap, that make your day yours. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story without ever getting in the way. We capture the emotion of the day honestly, from the laughter of the sangeet to the tears of the vidaai.
From the mandap to the reception, we keep the day flowing across Essex, and Billericay is firmly within our patch. We also photograph in nearby Epping and Chigwell.

What we offer
From the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and saptapadi around the agni, every ritual and its timing understood.
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints designed around your favourite images.
The seven steps around the holy fire and the giving of the sindoor and mangalsutra, captured with reverence.
Every tradition
For Gujarati families, we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras and photograph each as you keep it. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones. We know the order of the mandap rituals by heart, so we are always in position.
The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. From the turmeric of the haldi to the music of the sangeet, the events set the tone for the wedding. For Gujarati families, we know the mandvo, the grah shanti and the pithi, and photograph each with care.

The whole celebration
Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.
We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance. The story ends with the griha pravesh that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
We know the rhythm of a mandap ceremony by heart, so the sacred moments are always captured. Experience means we are ready for the muhurat timing, the early starts and the precise order of rituals.
We will travel to your mandap, your reception and your pre-wedding events, wherever they are held. Wherever your events take place across the Home Counties, we will be there in good time.

Where we travel
Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work. We factor in travel and timings carefully, so we are always where we need to be.

Good to know
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings, blending Hindu traditions with another family's customs with care.
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits so your album has both.
Auspicious Hindu dates book up well ahead, so we recommend enquiring as early as you can. Tell us your wedding date and we will confirm availability straight away.
Very. We photograph the pheras and the sacred fire from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, so the ceremony is never disturbed.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
