The Mandap Ceremony
From the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and saptapadi around the agni, every ritual and its timing understood.
Punjabi and North Indian Hindu wedding photography in Bristol, from the Ganesh puja that opens the day to the griha pravesh that closes it, with twenty-five years of experience and hand-finished albums.
Serving Bristol
Bristol is a vibrant city with a diverse community and grand venues. We are comfortable in every setting in Easton, Fishponds and Bedminster, from a lavish mandap to a quiet family puja. From Bristol we cover weddings right across the South West, at temples, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.
We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple. We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap, that make your day yours. Our style is unobtrusive, so the day feels like yours and never a photoshoot.
Wherever your venues are across Bristol and the South West, we plan the route and the timings in advance. Bristol is a vibrant city with a diverse community and grand venues. We also photograph in nearby Sunderland and Bath.

What we offer
From the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and saptapadi around the agni, every ritual and its timing understood.
The speeches, the first dance and the bhangra, captured to the very last guest.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the day as you lived it, never staged.
Every tradition
We photograph the kanyadaan and the joining of hands at the mandap with quiet care. We photograph the couple's first steps as husband and wife around the sacred fire. The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, seals the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence.
We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth. The sangeet is an evening of music and dance, and we capture all of its energy. We document the roka and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us.

The whole celebration
The celebration usually builds gradually, from the quiet of the puja to the exuberance of the sangeet. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them.
For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the baraat and the bridal prep. We photograph the ceremony, the portraits and the reception in balance, so each is given its due.
Why choose us
We are trusted with celebrations of every size, from intimate ceremonies to several hundred guests. We are award-winning photographers with a long history of Hindu and Asian weddings.
We photograph weddings throughout the wider region, and Bristol is firmly within the area we cover. We are used to celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing between them.

Where we travel
Wherever your events take place across the wider region, we will be there in good time. Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work.

Good to know
Always. We carry backup cameras, lenses and memory cards to every wedding, and back up your images on the day, so your photographs are safe.
Very much so. We know the mandap rituals by heart, from the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and the saptapadi, and we position ourselves so the sindoor and mangalsutra are always captured.
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings, blending Hindu traditions with another family's customs with care.
Yes. For larger Hindu weddings we bring a second photographer so the mandap rituals and the guests are both fully covered, and the baraat and the bridal preparations can be photographed at once.
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits so your album has both.
