The Sacred Agni
The seven steps around the holy fire and the giving of the sindoor and mangalsutra, captured with reverence.
Hindu wedding photography in Welwyn, covering the Ganesh puja, the varmala and the seven steps of the saptapadi, with reverence for the rituals and an eye for the moments between them.
Serving Welwyn
Welwyn is a historic village in the Mimram valley. Hindu families throughout Welwyn Garden City, Codicote and Knebworth trust us with their celebrations, large and small. We cover the whole of the Home Counties, and Welwyn and the towns around it are well known to us.
We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple. We anticipate each ritual, so the jaimala, the pheras and the saptapadi are never missed. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story without ever getting in the way.
From the mandap to the reception, we keep the day flowing across Hertfordshire, and Welwyn is firmly within our patch. We also photograph in nearby Wheathampstead and Harpenden.

What we offer
The seven steps around the holy fire and the giving of the sindoor and mangalsutra, captured with reverence.
At home with the mandvo, the pithi, the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras.
A handful of timeless, beautifully lit portraits amid the celebration.
Every tradition
We work quietly around the pandit so the ceremony at the mandap is never disturbed. The varmala and the madhuparka each have their place, and we capture them as they happen. From the kanyadaan to the saptapadi, the ceremony tells its own story, and we follow it closely.
The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. From the turmeric of the haldi to the music of the sangeet, the events set the tone for the wedding. The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy.

The whole celebration
A multi-day Hindu wedding can run across three or four days, and we plan our coverage around all of them. The early events are full of warmth and laughter, and we photograph them with the same care as the ceremony.
The wedding day itself is a journey, from the groom's baraat and the milni to the pheras and the vidaai. The story ends with the griha pravesh that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next in the order of the day. A thousand weddings in, we still find every celebration unique, and photograph it that way.
We factor in travel and timings carefully, so we are always where we need to be. We photograph weddings throughout the Home Counties, and Welwyn is firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We are glad to discuss your venues and the journey between them when you enquire. We cover the Home Counties and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield on request.
