Serving Ascot
Ascot is a Berkshire town famous for its racecourse and grand venues. Across Windsor, Sunninghill and Bracknell and the rest of Berkshire, we cover the muhurtham, the ceremony and the reception with a careful eye. From grand banqueting suites to intimate temple ceremonies, we are at home in every South Indian setting.
We take the time beforehand to understand your customs and the order of the mandapam rituals. We are at ease with large, multi-day Tamil celebrations and intimate temple ceremonies alike. We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple at the mandapam.
Tamil and South Indian families across Windsor, Sunninghill and Bracknell trust us with their weddings, and Ascot, a Berkshire town famous for its racecourse and grand venues, is a place we return to often. We also cover nearby Sandhurst and Thatcham. Around Ascot we regularly photograph at Coworth Park, Macdonald Berystede Hotel and Ascot Racecourse, among others.
Ascot is a Berkshire town best known for Ascot Racecourse, which was founded by Queen Anne in 1711 and hosts the annual Royal Ascot meeting. Ascot railway station has direct South Western Railway services from London Waterloo and sits close to Windsor Great Park. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Windsor Great Park and the Savill Garden, just north of the town, and Ascot Racecourse gives the day a strong sense of Ascot.

What we offer
Hand-finished albums that hold the whole story of your Tamil celebration, from muhurtham to reception.
At home with Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian Brahmin customs and their order of events.
Discreet, respectful coverage around the Iyer and Iyengar priests and the homam fire.
Every tradition
The maalai maatral, when the couple exchange garlands lifted high, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph. The ammi midithal and the paalikai each have their place, and we capture them as they happen. The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, completes the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence.
We photograph the bridal preparations, the draping of the Kanjeevaram silk and the jasmine in the hair, with a gentle eye. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals. The nalangu, the playful post-wedding games between the couple and their families, is full of warmth and fun.

The whole celebration
The mehndi brings an intimate evening of henna and laughter before the wedding day itself. Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours.
We keep the day flowing, moving smoothly between the ceremony, the family photos and the reception. The story often ends with the grihapravesam that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
We bring the steadiness that only comes from photographing muhurthams and mandapam rituals for twenty-five years. With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a Tamil muhurtham surprises us.
We will travel to your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception, wherever the maalai maatral and the thali tying take place. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to temples and mandapams across the Home Counties.

Where we travel
We are London-based and travel across Berkshire and the wider region for the early muhurtham and the mandapam rituals. We photograph across Berkshire regularly, and travelling to a kalyana mandapam in Ascot is second nature.

Good to know
Yes. For couples in Ascot we blend candid storytelling with a small number of posed portraits. Most of the day is captured as it truly happens, while a handful of quieter couple and family images bring a timeless, elegant note to the finished album.
Absolutely. The nichayathartham, the mehndi and the sumangali prarthanai are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with the same care as the ceremony itself.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished, fine-art album that holds the whole story of your celebration, from the first event through to the reception.
Because distance is genuinely no obstacle. From London, Ascot is a straightforward, familiar drive, and you gain a widely experienced Tamil wedding specialist who comes to you without any fuss and is well used to the very early starts a muhurtham can bring.
Absolutely. We have spent many years photographing Sri Lankan Tamil weddings as well as South Indian ones, so the distinct rituals and the shape of the day hold no surprises for us. Your celebration is in experienced, familiar hands from the first event to the last.
