We photograph the couple's first steps together around the sacred homam fire. The maalai maatral, when the couple exchange garlands lifted high, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph. We photograph the lighting of the homam and the blessings of the priests with respect.

We photograph the bridal preparations, the draping of the Kanjeevaram silk and the jasmine in the hair, with a gentle eye. The paalikai, when the seed pots are prepared, is a quiet, lovely ritual we cover with a gentle eye. The reception is the joyful finale, with the couple greeting hundreds of guests.
