Serving Maidenhead
Maidenhead is a Thames-side town with grand country venues. Wherever your events are held across Marlow, Windsor and Cookham, we plan the timings and the early muhurtham start with care. We cover the whole of the Home Counties, and Maidenhead and the towns around it are well known to us.
We let the muhurtham unfold at its own pace and meet it with a quiet, watchful eye. We capture the details too, the Kanjeevaram silk, the temple jewellery and the jasmine, that make your day yours. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present at your own muhurtham rather than posing for it.
We know Maidenhead, a Thames-side town with grand country venues, and the surrounding part of Berkshire well, having photographed Tamil weddings throughout Marlow, Windsor and Cookham. We are often in nearby Windsor and Bracknell too. Maidenhead and the towns around it offer venues such as Lillibrooke Manor, The Olde Bell and Oakley Court, all familiar to us.
Maidenhead is a Thames-side town in Berkshire with a long history as a riverside and coaching stop. Maidenhead station is on the Great Western Main Line and is a western terminus of the Elizabeth line, close to junctions 8 and 9 of the M4. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Boulters Lock and Ray Mill Island beside the Thames, and Brunel's Maidenhead Railway Bridge, known for the Sounding Arch, and the Georgian road bridge over the Thames gives the day a strong sense of Maidenhead.

What we offer
The gentle swing ceremony, the songs and the rice balls warding off the evil eye, captured with a warm eye.
Fine prints and framed art of the maalai maatral and the thali tying to bring home.
The music of the nadaswaram and thavil that carries the sacred moments, captured as it plays.
Every tradition
The maalai maatral, when the couple exchange garlands lifted high, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph. At the heart of a Tamil wedding is the maangalya dharanam, the tying of the thali that seals the marriage. We photograph the couple's first steps together around the sacred homam fire.
The celebration often opens with the nichayathartham, the betrothal, and we are there for it. The oonjal swing, the singing and the rice balls offered to the couple are full of family warmth. The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it.

The whole celebration
The nichayathartham and mehndi are warm, colourful gatherings that set the tone for everything to come. We arrive in good time for each pre-wedding event and stay until the celebrations wind down.
From the kashi yatra to the last guest, we follow the whole day at its own pace. We capture the reception in full, the entrance, the greetings and the celebration.
Why choose us
Decades of Tamil weddings mean we read the day instinctively and never miss the maalai maatral or the oonjal. Our long experience means a calm presence whatever the mandapam day brings.
From London we reach Maidenhead easily, and we know the kalyana mandapams of Berkshire well. We will travel to your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception, wherever the maalai maatral and the thali tying take place.

Where we travel
We are used to celebrations spread across a temple and a banqueting suite, and keep the day flowing between them. Wherever your kalyana mandapam is across the Home Counties, we will be there in good time for the auspicious muhurtham.

Good to know
Yes. We travel to Maidenhead and across the wider area for Tamil and South Indian weddings. The muhurtham, the mandapam rituals and the many surrounding events are a speciality, and distance is never a problem for a London-based team used to travelling.
We do, happily. In Maidenhead and everywhere we work, the oonjal and the nalangu are among the parts we love most. The gentle swing with its songs, and the playful games between the two families afterwards, brim with warmth and laughter, and we capture all of it.
Because distance is genuinely no obstacle. From London, Maidenhead is a straightforward, familiar drive, and you gain a widely experienced Tamil wedding specialist who comes to you without any fuss and is well used to the very early starts a muhurtham can bring.
Because the muhurtham begins so early and the reception ends so late, full-day coverage usually works best for a Tamil wedding in Maidenhead. If your celebration spans several days with a nichayathartham and mehndi, we tailor the hours to your key events.
Soon after your day in Maidenhead we send a small preview to enjoy while the memories are fresh, then your full edited gallery follows. After that we design a hand-finished, fine-art album holding the whole story, from the first event through to the reception.
