We know the order of the mandapam rituals by heart, so we are always in position. We photograph the lighting of the homam and the blessings of the priests with respect. The nadaswaram and thavil announce the sacred moments, and we are in position when they sound.

The mehndi, the nichayathartham and the nalangu each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. The sumangali prarthanai gathers the married women of the family in blessing, and we photograph it with care. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding.
