For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Roker Park and the adjacent seafront, with a lake, ravine and coastal promenade, with Penshaw Monument, a Grecian style folly on a hill overlooking the city close by for a striking backdrop.

We photograph the lighting of the homam and the blessings of the priests with respect. For Iyer and Iyengar families, we know the rituals and their timing and photograph each as you keep it. The saptapadi, the seven steps the couple take together, completes the marriage, and we photograph it with reverence.

The reception is the joyful finale, with the couple greeting hundreds of guests. The oonjal swing, the singing and the rice balls offered to the couple are full of family warmth. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals.
