We photograph the warmth of the two families meeting at the sammandhi mariyathai. The paalikai, when the seed pots are prepared, is a quiet, lovely ritual we cover with a gentle eye. The oonjal swing, the singing and the rice balls offered to the couple are full of family warmth.
