Pre-Wedding Events
The nichayathartham, mehndi and sumangali prarthanai, where the warmest moments often happen.
Tamil wedding photography in West Bromwich, documenting the kashi yatra, the maalai maatral, the oonjal and the family blessings, with full-day coverage and beautifully bound albums.
Serving West Bromwich
West Bromwich is a Black Country town with a large South Asian community. Across the West Midlands, including Smethwick, Oldbury and Wednesbury, we photograph the colour and devotion of every South Indian ritual. We cover the whole of the Midlands, and West Bromwich and the towns around it are well known to us.
We move quietly around the mandapam, capturing the thali tying as it happens rather than staging it. The nadaswaram, the jasmine and the homam fire all have their place, and we photograph each of them. Timing is everything in a Tamil wedding, and we plan our coverage around the auspicious muhurtham.
We travel throughout the West Midlands for mandapam ceremonies, and West Bromwich, a Black Country town with a large South Asian community, is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Walsall and Dudley. Venues we have photographed at near West Bromwich include Supreme Banqueting Suite and The Hawthorns.
West Bromwich is a Black Country town in the borough of Sandwell with a large South Asian community. West Bromwich Central is a stop on the West Midlands Metro tram line, with the M5 passing to the west. When there is time for couple portraits, Sandwell Valley Country Park and Dartmouth Park is a favourite, and The Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion, and the timber framed Oak House museum makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
The nichayathartham, mehndi and sumangali prarthanai, where the warmest moments often happen.
Fine prints and framed art of the maalai maatral and the thali tying to bring home.
The playful post-wedding games between the couple and their families, captured with fun.
Every tradition
The kashi yatra, the groom's playful mock-pilgrimage, opens the ceremony with laughter, and we are ready for it. We work quietly around the priests so the ceremony at the mandapam is never disturbed. The blessings of the elders and the sammandhi mariyathai close the ceremony, and we capture them with warmth.
We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding. We photograph the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands, with all of its energy and laughter.

The whole celebration
The nichayathartham and mehndi are warm, colourful gatherings that set the tone for everything to come. Many families hold the betrothal long before the wedding, and a mehndi the night before.
For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the ceremony and the guests. We document the grand moments and the quiet ones in between, so nothing is lost.
Why choose us
Over a thousand celebrations have taught us when to step close to the thali tying and when to stand quietly back. Our long experience means a calm presence whatever the mandapam day brings.
An early muhurtham often means an early start on the road, and we plan the drive to the mandapam without fuss. We are used to celebrations spread across a temple and a banqueting suite, and keep the day flowing between them.

Where we travel
Distance is never a problem; reaching your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception is simply part of how we work. We are London-based and travel across the West Midlands and the wider region for the early muhurtham and the mandapam rituals.

Good to know
Yes. Many Tamil muhurthams are set for the very early morning, sometimes before dawn, and we are used to it. We arrive in good time and are fully ready, so the sacred hour is captured calmly and without any rush.
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, capturing the day as it happens, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits, so your album holds both the natural energy and a few quieter, elegant images.
Most Tamil weddings run from the early-morning muhurtham through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best. For multi-day celebrations with a nichayathartham and mehndi, we tailor the hours to the events that matter most to you.
Yes. For larger Tamil weddings we bring a second photographer, so the mandapam rituals and the guests are both fully covered, and the ceremony and the arrivals can be photographed at the same time without anything being lost.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished, fine-art album that holds the whole story of your celebration, from the first event through to the reception.
