Gujarati Weddings
At home with the mandvo, the pithi, the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras.
Your Hindu wedding photographer in Bishop's Stortford, from the dhol of the baraat to the quiet vows exchanged at the mandap, with calm, storytelling coverage and fine-art albums.
Serving Bishop's Stortford
Bishop's Stortford is a market town on the Essex border near Stansted. We are comfortable in every setting in Sawbridgeworth, Stansted and Ware, from a lavish mandap to a quiet family puja. We cover the whole of the Home Counties, and Bishop's Stortford and the towns around it are well known to us.
We work discreetly around the pandit and the families, never intruding on a sacred moment. We keep the calm of the mandap and the energy of the reception in equal measure. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story without ever getting in the way.
We travel throughout Hertfordshire for mandap ceremonies, and Bishop's Stortford is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Letchworth and Baldock.

What we offer
At home with the mandvo, the pithi, the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras.
A sneak preview soon after the wedding, with your full gallery and album to follow.
The speeches, the first dance and the bhangra, captured to the very last guest.
Every tradition
We photograph the mangalsutra and sindoor, the signs of the new marriage, with tenderness. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones. We anticipate the muhurat, the auspicious hour that sets the pace of the ceremony.
The sangeet is an evening of music and dance, and we capture all of its energy. The vidaai, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The griha pravesh welcomes the bride into her new home, and we are there for it.

The whole celebration
Many Hindu weddings begin days before the wedding with the Ganesh puja, the haldi and a mehndi. We tailor the hours to your events, whether it is one key day or a long weekend of celebrations.
The wedding day itself is a journey, from the groom's baraat and the milni to the pheras and the vidaai. Whether the wedding and reception are on the same day or spread across a weekend, we plan for it.
Why choose us
Families return to us, and recommend us, because we treat every ritual as it deserves. Over a thousand celebrations have taught us when to step in close and when to stand quietly back.
We are used to celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing between them. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us across the Home Counties.

Where we travel
We cover the whole of the UK for weddings, so distance never stands in the way. We photograph weddings throughout the Home Counties, and Bishop's Stortford is firmly within the area we cover.
