The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning Asian wedding photographer based in London, photographing Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings in Camberley and throughout Surrey for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. We capture the emotion of the day honestly, from the laughter of the sangeet to the tears of the farewell. Multi day Asian weddings are a speciality in Camberley, from the pre wedding events and the baraat to the ceremony and the reception, whatever your tradition. More than a thousand celebrations sit behind us, and that depth means we recognise the mangalsutra moment, the fourth laav or the signing of the nikah before it arrives. A second photographer, a female photographer for segregated events and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Surrey and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Camberley
Camberley is a Surrey town near grand estate venues. Across Frimley, Bagshot and Sandhurst and the wider reaches of Surrey, we cover ceremonies in mandaps, marquees and grand reception suites with the same careful eye. At a Hindu wedding, the pheras around the sacred fire seal the marriage, and we capture them close.
We photograph the small moments as carefully as the grand ones, the glances as well as the rituals. Multi-day weddings ask for stamina and planning, so we map the running order with you beforehand and pace ourselves to be sharp from the haldi to the last song. We keep the calm of the ceremony and the energy of the reception in equal measure.
Whether your celebration is in Camberley itself or elsewhere in Surrey, we plan travel and timings with care. Camberley is a Surrey town near grand estate venues. We also photograph in nearby Redhill and Esher. Venues we have photographed at near Camberley include Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel and Spa and Pennyhill Park.
Camberley is a Surrey Heath town that grew up alongside the nearby Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the 19th century. Camberley railway station is managed by South Western Railway, and the town lies between the A30 national route and the M3 at junction 4. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Frimley Lodge Park near Camberley, with The Obelisk, an 18th century folly on Obelisk Rise close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
We photograph the day as it truly unfolds, staying out of the way so the moments belong to you.
The milni, the blessings and the gatherings, so the whole family is remembered.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the day as you lived it, never staged.
Every tradition
At a Muslim nikah we photograph the vows, the mehr and the joyful moment the couple are declared married. Whatever your faith, the auspicious hour sets the tempo, and we plan our positions around the muhurat or muhurtham so the sacred minutes are never rushed for a picture. At a Muslim wedding, the nikah and the signing of the contract carry great dignity, and we cover them with respect.
The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. The haldi or pithi is turmeric, colour and mischief in equal measure, and it often gives us the warmest and most unguarded frames of the whole wedding.

The whole celebration
Sangeet nights belong to the aunties and uncles who have been rehearsing for weeks, and we make sure their performances are held properly, not lost in the noise of the crowd. When the henna artist works late into the evening, we sit with the patience of it, photographing the detail on your hands and the faces of everyone waiting their turn.
Just fifteen minutes is enough for a handful of timeless portraits near your venue. Long days test everyone, so we keep our footing calm and our timing steady, catching the guru's words, the shared glances and the quiet exhale once the vows are done.
Why choose us
We have worked in temples, gurdwaras and mosques the length of the country, and that range means your venue and its customs hold no surprises for us. Decades of weddings mean we read the day instinctively and never miss the moments that matter.
A multi-day wedding spread across several venues asks for careful planning, and plotting the movement between them is something we do as a matter of course. Much of our work takes us well beyond London, and the venues of Surrey are journeys we make gladly and often.

Where we travel
We photograph across Surrey regularly, and travelling to Camberley is second nature. Wherever your events take place across the Home Counties, we will be there in good time.

Good to know
You will receive a preview gallery of favourites soon after the day, with your full edited collection following once we have worked carefully through every event. Multi-day Asian weddings produce a large number of images, so we take the time needed to edit them to a consistent, high standard.
Yes, always with care. We photograph respectfully in the temples, gurdwaras and mosques of Camberley, as well as mandaps, marquees and banqueting halls. Staying quietly to one side of the priest, granthi or imam, often working with a long lens, we make sure the ceremony is never disturbed.
Yes, thoroughly. We appreciate the significance of the muhurtham hour and the moment the thali is tied, along with the rituals that make a Tamil ceremony unmistakably its own. Knowing what is coming keeps us ready, so our images reflect the real meaning behind each custom.
Certainly. Having photographed Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil ceremonies, we are well placed to bring two sets of customs together in one story. We photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings regularly, blending the traditions of both families with care and understanding.
We photograph the full range, from Hindu and Sikh to Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings, drawing on over 25 years and more than a thousand celebrations. Each faith has its own pace and rituals, so our documentary approach flexes to suit whichever tradition your family follows.
Yes, happily. Specialising in Asian weddings across all traditions, we regularly reach Camberley for Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil celebrations alike. Our London base and long habit of travelling to venues near and far mean the distance is never an obstacle for us.
We would be glad to. A day that blends two faiths brings a richness we thoroughly enjoy, from a Hindu ceremony beside a civil service to a Sikh and Muslim family joining as one. We respect each set of traditions and build the timeline so both are given their proper place.
