Hi there! I'm Kaushik Bathia, and I've been taking photos around Northwood Hills for about twenty-five years now. What started as a hobby has turned into something I'm genuinely passionate about – capturing those moments that really matter to you and your family.
About Me and My Photography
You know what got me into this? My first wedding shoot back in 2009. This couple wanted photos in the countryside just outside Northwood Hills, and it was this gorgeous autumn day. When I saw their faces during the first look... honestly, I got a bit emotional behind the camera. That's when it clicked for me – this isn't just about taking pictures, it's about preserving feelings.
Fast forward to now, and I've somehow managed to win five European Kodak Gold Awards (they're sitting on my shelf looking a bit dusty) and got recognized by The London Portrait Group. But here's the thing – what really matters to me is that every photo I take captures something real. A laugh, a tear, that split-second when someone's guard is down and their true self shows through.
Whether you're getting married at one of our beautiful local venues, expecting your first baby, or just want some proper family photos, I approach every shoot the same way. I want your pictures to feel like you – not some generic stock photo version of your life.
What I Do Around Northwood
I’m based right on The Broadway in Joel Street — proudly local. From intimate home shoots to grand celebrations at St. John the Baptist Church, every moment has its own story to tell. That passion has carried me through an incredible journey — from capturing cherished family memories to photographing at Buckingham Palace, where I documented individuals receiving MBEs, knighthoods, and royal honours from Her Majesty The Queen. Along the way, my work has been honoured with multiple Gold Awards, recognition from the London Portrait Group, and international acclaim through competitions such as Professional Photographers of America. Every story matters — and I’m here to capture yours beautifully.
Wedding Photography
From intimate garden vows to 200-guest celebrations — I capture the nervous giggles, teary dads, and first dances you’ll cherish forever. I meet every couple for coffee, scout venues, and tailor the day to you — whether you love posed portraits or candid magic.
Portrait & Model Photography
Professional headshots, modeling portfolios, or personal keepsakes — my studio is fully equipped with lighting, backdrops, and trusted makeup artists. My secret? I make you laugh until you forget the camera exists.
Other Photography Services
Beyond weddings and portraits, I do quite a bit of commercial work around Northwood Hills – corporate events, family gatherings, even pet photography (yes, really – and your dogs will probably be better behaved than most human subjects!).
With newborn shoots, everything's about patience. Babies don't care about your schedule, so we work at their pace. Usually ends up with some gorgeous, natural shots once they're settled.
Where do you travel for photography sessions? Open
I'm based in Northwood Hills but I'm happy to go pretty much anywhere in northwest London and beyond. Pinner, Harrow, Ruislip — wherever you need me. I've even done a few destination weddings, which are always an adventure!
How do I book a photography session? Open
Just give me a ring or drop me an email. I'm always up for a chat about what you're looking for. No hard sell — I just want to make sure I'm the right fit for what you need.
What photography services do you offer? Open
Wedding photography, portrait sessions, commercial, corporate, and passport photos. For weddings, I’m there all day — you get an online gallery, and we can create albums or prints.
Do you offer commercial photography for businesses? Open
Absolutely! Corporate events, headshots, product photography, and company portraits. Many local Northwood Hills businesses use my work for marketing and branding.
How long before I get my photos back? Open
Portraits: 1–2 weeks. Weddings: 4–6 weeks. I’d rather take my time and get them perfect than rush.
What happens if it rains? Open
Welcome to England! I have backup plans. Some of my best shots are in moody weather. If it’s pouring, we reschedule or use the studio.
