Our studio is kept warm, calm and unhurried, and the session moves entirely at your baby's pace. We are gentle, experienced and patient, with plenty of time for feeds and cuddles. Parents and siblings are warmly welcome in the frame too.

The studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU is kept warm and calm for tiny babies, with wraps, props and backdrops ready. It suits parents who would like everything set up for them, and it is two minutes' walk from Northwood Hills station on the Metropolitan line. The studio is open seven days, with photoshoots by appointment.
In your own home
If leaving the house with a newborn feels like too much, we come to you anywhere within about 20 miles of Northwood, which covers much of North West, West and North London and South West Hertfordshire. Older siblings are often more relaxed at home, and your photographs show the rooms your baby is starting life in. Travel costs are set out in writing before you book.

Who photographs your baby
Your baby is photographed by Kaushik Bathia, who has run the studio in Northwood since 2001. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography (FBIPP) and of the Master Photographers Association (FMPA), and he holds five European Kodak Gold Awards.

Allow two to three hours for a newborn session. Tiny babies set the pace, so we build in time for feeds, changes and settling. Milestone and cake smash sessions are usually shorter, around one to two hours.
Bring feeds, spare babygrows, a dummy if your baby uses one and any favourite wrap or toy. For a sitter session pack a snack, and for a cake smash bring the cake, an outfit change and plenty of wipes. We provide wraps, props and backdrops.
Yes. A maternity session works best at 28 to 34 weeks and a newborn session in the first fortnight. Photographing both stages tells the fuller story, from bump to first cuddles, and can be combined into one package.
A cake smash celebrates a first birthday, with baby happily demolishing a cake for playful, messy portraits, often finished with a splash or bath set. Book it around 11 to 13 months, close to the birthday, once your little one can sit confidently.
