Serving Uxbridge
Family sessions cover Uxbridge and the area round it, including West Drayton, Cowley and Denham, and they usually happen at Fassnidge Park, where surfaced paths, a playground and open green sit together and a session can be built around a young child's stamina.
Most groups booking here are parents with children under ten, frequently with grandparents along for the day. Clothing is the one thing worth deciding beforehand: a family dressed in a narrow range of related colours photographs as a group, whereas everybody in their own bright shade photographs as five separate people who happen to be standing near each other.

What we offer
Relaxed family sessions on the surfaced paths and open green of Fassnidge Park, prams and grandparents included.
Newborns, toddlers, teenagers and three generations in one visit, at whatever pace the youngest can actually sustain.
One gallery shared with everybody who came, sized for large prints and for emailing to family further away.
Twenty-five years behind the lens
Nothing is rehearsed and nobody is drilled into position. We keep the family walking, talking and getting in each other's way, and photograph what results, which is why the pictures look like the people in them.
There is no posing list to grind through and no instruction to say cheese. Every adult in the party receives the same finished gallery, so grandparents are not left waiting for a forwarded file, and prints come at a size that suits a frame.

Good to know
Yes, regularly. Fassnidge Park is where these sessions normally run, with its surfaced paths, its playground and enough open green for a large group. Denham, West Drayton and Cowley are covered too. Say how many children are coming and how old they are when the session is arranged, so we can suggest a starting point that suits the youngest rather than the adults.
Around an hour is typical for our Uxbridge sessions, but we honestly never watch the clock. When newborns and toddlers are involved we build in extra time for feeds, naps and cuddles, keeping everyone content. Your children set the pace, and we simply follow it.
Ideally within the first fortnight, when newborns are sleepiest and easiest to settle. Many Uxbridge parents contact us during pregnancy, which we love, because we can then pencil in a date around when baby is due and be prepared for the big day.
Think of it as a joyful first-birthday tradition. Your baby gets a cake all to themselves, and we photograph the wide-eyed anticipation, the mess and the pure delight. Plenty of Uxbridge families book one, and it is easily among the most fun sessions we offer.
We certainly do. A milestone session marks each meaningful step as your little one develops, whether that is sitting unaided, first wobbly steps or a first birthday. Booking several through the year means you can look back fondly on every stage as it passed. Around Uxbridge we plan for landmarks such as The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site.
Serving Uxbridge
Our studio is in Northwood, so Uxbridge (UB8) is part of our core Greater London area. It sits close to Ickenham and Hillingdon, which we cover too. Sessions run at the studio or on location in Uxbridge, and there is no travel charge for local bookings.
A west London town and the civic heart of Hillingdon, with a busy shopping centre and long RAF heritage. Terminus of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines at Uxbridge Underground station. Sessions on location near Uxbridge often use Fassnidge Park with its boating lake, with The Battle of Britain Bunker at the former RAF Uxbridge site close at hand.

Fassnidge Park suits family work for reasons that have very little to do with how it photographs. There is a playground, a boating lake and enough open green to spread across, and it sits inside a town that families are often visiting anyway, so the session attaches itself to a trip already happening rather than becoming an expedition of its own. The running order follows the children rather than the sun. Anything needing everybody upright and arranged gets done in the opening part, and the playground is saved for last, because once a three year old has clocked it, no adult instruction is going to compete. The lake affects who is free to stand in shot far more than it affects the photographs. Small children walk towards water without being asked, which means one grown-up is permanently on duty and therefore unavailable, so we photograph the adults in rotation while somebody keeps watch, and put the everybody-together frames on the grass away from the bank. The paths are surfaced rather than worn into the ground, which is what decides whether a pram is a nuisance and whether a grandparent with poor footing can join in comfortably; nobody is asked to wade across soft turf to reach the group. When the ground is sodden, or a January afternoon has already given up its light, we retreat to the Northwood studio instead, which offers warmth, a floor that stays clean, and no wind removing a carefully arranged fringe between frames.
