We agree the running order first, so nobody stands about: the whole group, then grandparents with the children, then each child alone, then the pairs. Forty minutes covers all of it, which is roughly the limit for a four year old.
If the ground is wet or it is blowing hard we move the booking indoors rather than push on. Everybody in the group gets the same gallery, sized for framing and for sending on, so nobody has to ask for copies afterwards.

I booked the family portrait for my family and it was a wonderful experience. Kaushik is such a great photographer, able to coax a smile from any reluctant person. Making the decision of which pictures to chose is particularly difficult as they are all good.
Kaushik took a photograph of my grand-daughter. The final product was superb. My little 2 year old girl was kept so calm and at ease with Kaushik’s kindness. We will now always use Kaushik for our photography.
I would highly recommend Northwood Hills Studio. We have been been capturing our favourite family portraits since 2004. Always great fun, yet very professional. The printed results are great and we will keep coming back.

For a family the deciding fact about Ruislip Woods is underfoot rather than overhead. Outdoors reads better for eight months of the year, and for the other four it is a fight nobody enjoys.

The studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU is about 3 miles from South Ruislip, and if you would rather we came to you, travel over that distance is not charged. Family groups are photographed there by appointment in one warm room, and prints, frames, restorations and scans are all done under the same roof. Family sittings can be booked any day of the week: we open 10:30 to 18:00 from Monday to Saturday and 13:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.
