This is a walk-in service. Bring your piece into the studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU and we will hold mouldings and mounts against it in person, then give you a free quote with no obligation.

Why choose us

A photographer's eye for framing

As photographers ourselves, we understand how mount, frame and glass affect the way an image reads. That eye for detail means your framing enhances the photograph rather than competing with it.

Everything is made to measure and finished by hand in London, so you get a quality result and a local, personal service from start to finish.

Picture Framing FAQs

We frame photographs, fine-art prints, paintings, certificates and memorabilia such as shirts and medals, anything you would like protected and beautifully displayed.

Yes. Every frame is made to measure and finished by hand, with mounts, frames and glass chosen to suit your piece.

Framing is priced individually depending on size, mount and frame choice. Bring your piece in or contact the studio for a tailored quote.

Just pop in. Framing is a walk-in service at our studio on The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, open Monday to Saturday 10:30am to 6pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm. Bring your photograph, artwork or keepsake and we will lay the mount, moulding and glass options beside it and give you a free quote.

Conservation framing uses acid-free mounts and boards and UV-protective glass to shield a piece from fading, marking and discolouration over time. We recommend it for anything you cannot replace, such as an original artwork, a certificate or a treasured photograph, where the aim is to display it now and protect it for the future.

Yes. We build box frames and float mounts for signed sports shirts, medals, stretched canvases and other three-dimensional keepsakes, so they sit square, stay protected and are shown off properly. Bring the item into the studio and we will plan the mount and depth with you.

Made in the studio

Every frame chosen to suit the piece

All of our framing is made by hand at the Northwood studio, so you can see the options in person and hold a moulding against your photograph before you decide. There is a wide choice of mouldings to work through, from natural and stained woods to slim metal profiles, and from classic gilded styles to clean, contemporary finishes.

Mounts do a lot of quiet work, giving the image room to breathe and drawing the eye inwards. We keep a full range of mount board colours and can cut a double mount when a picture wants a little extra depth. If you are not sure what suits, we will hold a few together and talk it through until it feels right.

Glazing matters just as much as the frame. Standard glass is fine for many pictures, non-reflective glass helps where a frame will hang opposite a window, and UV-protective conservation glass shields precious prints from the light that causes fading over time.

There is no rush and no obligation. Bring your photograph or piece into the studio, and we will lay out the choices side by side so you can compare mount, frame and glass together rather than from a swatch. Because each frame is priced by size and by the materials you pick, we can also work sympathetically to a budget and suggest where to spend and where to keep things simple.

Choosing frame mouldings and mounts at the Northwood studio

More than flat prints

Box frames, float mounts and keepsakes

Not everything you want to display sits flat behind glass. We build box frames and float mounts for stretched canvases, sports shirts, medals and other three-dimensional keepsakes, so they are protected and shown off properly rather than tucked away in a drawer. Wedding albums, artwork, certificates and finished cross-stitch all frame beautifully too, and each is measured and mounted to sit square and secure.

We use careful, conservation-grade materials throughout, acid-free mounts and boards that will not mark or discolour your photographs as the years pass. That matters most for the pieces you cannot replace, an original artwork, a christening certificate or a wedding photograph, where the aim is to display them now and keep them safe for the future. If you are hanging a group of pictures, we are happy to advise on sizing, spacing and placement so the wall works as a whole rather than a scatter of odd frames.

When your framing is ready you are welcome to collect it from the studio, or we can arrange delivery so a larger piece reaches you safely. Explore our studio services or get in touch to talk it over.

Visit the studio to choose your frame

The best way to frame something well is to see the choices side by side, which is why framing is a walk-in service. Bring your photograph, print, artwork, certificate or keepsake into our studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, and we will hold mouldings and mount boards against it so you can judge colour, width and depth in real light rather than from a swatch. We will talk through glazing too, from standard and non-reflective glass to UV-protective conservation glass for pieces you want to keep safe for years. There is no obligation and no rush, and because every frame is priced by size and materials, we can work sympathetically to a budget. We are open Monday to Saturday 10:30am to 6pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm. Pair framing with our photo enlargement or restoration service, or get in touch before you visit.
