We hired Kaushik for our wedding. He was a fantastic photographer, very professional and great to work with. Kaushik was very flexible with timings, he was patient, and produced amazing photos! We received our photos really quickly and the quality of them are really nice!! His communication throughout was really good and understood what I wanted. My family were also very happy with Kaushik and the photos.
We had a family shoot at the studio, Kaushik took some wonderful photos. He was excellent with the kids and was very good at making them smile naturally, the end results were brilliant. We purchased a canvas and 2 further large framed photos. All completed on time and to perfection. Very pleased.
Kaushik was a great help and took some great photos for my partner and I. I would highly recommend for all your photography needs.
What we photograph in Northwood Hills
One studio, many occasions
Northwood Hills is a 1930s suburban district that grew up around its Metropolitan line station between Northwood and Pinner. We photograph clients at our Northwood studio and on location across Greater London, from homes and gardens to business premises and venues throughout Northwood, Pinner and Eastcote. Babies and toddlers set their own pace, so newborn and cake smash sessions in the studio leave room for feeds, naps and changes.
A family might start with a newborn sitting, come back for a first birthday and later book a group portrait for a big anniversary, and each session is planned around where the family is at the time. First-birthday cake smashes are quick and chaotic, so the studio is set up before you arrive and we follow your baby's lead once the icing comes out. The occasions a family plans around, weddings, new babies, first birthdays, graduations and later anniversaries, are the ones we most enjoy photographing.
A single headshot and a full product catalogue get the same commercial standard; only the length of the session changes. Weekday sessions at the studio cover headshots for actors and professionals, branding shoots and product photography. For a business, that could mean a conference, an awards night, team headshots or personal branding images, all made to look right on a website or a stage.

Across Northwood Hills
Sessions around Northwood Hills and the rest of Greater London
Much of Northwood Hills stands on what was once the Great Common Wood, and the part left unsold in 1608 survives as Copse Wood within Ruislip Woods. Northwood Hills is a 1930s suburban district that grew up around its Metropolitan line station between Northwood and Pinner, and we cover neighbouring Northwood and Pinner across Greater London too. Close to Northwood Hills, the restored stables at Eastcote House Gardens are licensed for weddings of up to 50 guests.
Northwood Hills developed after its station opened in 1933, with the shopping district still centred on Northwood Hills Circus. It lies in the north-west of the London Borough of Hillingdon, close to the Hertfordshire border. Northwood Hills station is on the Metropolitan line. For portraits away from the celebration, Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve is one option, with Northwood Hills Circus adding a real sense of place.
We can meet you at the studio or at a place you choose; for woodland portraits we would suggest Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, entered from Reservoir Road in Ruislip, which Hillingdon Council describes as the largest block of ancient, semi-natural woodland in Greater London. From your first call or message we take time to understand what you want before any camera comes out.

Why book us in Northwood Hills
Careful work, a short walk from the station
A quarter of a century across every kind of photography means the same practised eye is brought to a christening portrait, a product shot or a headshot. A studio you can walk into on Joel Street, 25+ years of practice and FBIPP and FMPA fellowships mean the basics are settled before we talk about your shoot.
The studio is in the centre of Northwood Hills, and we work throughout Greater London on location. We photograph clients in Northwood Hills and cover the surrounding towns across Northwood, Pinner and Eastcote from our Northwood base.
Your gallery comes as downloadable high-resolution files, and framed prints or a hand-finished album can be added whenever you are ready. Edited, high-resolution images are ready within two weeks, and because the studio does its own printing and framing, any prints or albums can be ordered from the same counter.

Northwood Hills on our doorstep: woods, gardens and history
The studio sits on Joel Street, so these notes stay close to home: the station, Emmanuel Church, Eastcote House Gardens and Ruislip Woods, each summarised from a linked source.
- Eastcote House Gardens walled garden. Eastcote House Gardens is mostly grassland with fine old ornamental trees, a walled garden of shrubs, herbaceous borders and herb beds, an old orchard of mulberry, fig, apple, walnut and medlar, and a 17th-century timber-framed stable block with a dovecote. 1
- Northwood Hills station. Northwood Hills Underground station on Joel Street, HA6 1NZ, is on the Metropolitan line in fare zone 6. 2
- Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve. Hillingdon Council describes Ruislip Woods, entered from Reservoir Road, Ruislip HA4 7TY, as the largest block of ancient, semi-natural woodland in Greater London and one of the most extensive oak and hornbeam coppice woods in south-east England. 3
- Emmanuel Church in Northwood Hills opened as a church in 1904, having been built in 1895 as a school to a design by the local architect Sir Frank Elgood. 4

Good to know
Photography in Northwood Hills, frequently asked questions
Yes, corporate events are part of what we offer alongside headshots and product work. Conferences, awards dinners and product launches are covered quietly, with speakers, guests and the feel of the room photographed from the edges rather than the middle. Afterwards you get an edited set ready for the staff newsletter, the press and social channels, delivered quickly enough to post while people are still talking about the evening.
Yes, we photograph products for online shops, marketplaces, brochures and company websites. Products are lit to show their true colour, texture and outline, on a clean white background or set up with props to suit your brand. Whether you trade from HA6 or elsewhere in Greater London, the aim is a consistent set of images that helps your products sell online.
You receive high-resolution files with a print release, so you can have them printed anywhere. If you would rather we did it, the studio prints, frames and makes albums in house and checks the colour before anything leaves, but that is entirely your call.
Both. Inside the studio at 21 Joel St the lighting is ours to control, which keeps headshots, newborn portraits and product shots consistent in any weather. For an outdoor session we would suggest Hog's Back Open Space on Northwood Way, once part of Hundred Acre Farm and now with picnic areas, or the walled garden and old orchard at Eastcote House Gardens, and we are just as happy to come to your home. One booking can also combine a studio set with a short outdoor walk.
Yes, we design albums for weddings and portrait sessions alike. Each fine-art album is hand-finished and laid out to tell the story of your day or session in order. We go through the image choice with you so the pages read in a natural order.
It depends on the session. A studio sitting on Joel Street usually produces a tight selection of the best frames, whereas a full wedding day, from the ceremony to the evening, runs to several hundred finished images. Rather than pad the gallery, we pick out and finish the frames worth keeping. Tell us what you are booking and we will give you an honest idea of numbers before you commit.
Kaushik Bathia set up the studio in 2001, so more than 25 years of professional work sit behind every session. Over those years Kaushik has become a Fellow of both the BIPP and the MPA and won five European Kodak Gold Awards. It means a calm, practised approach to almost any brief, from a passport photo to a full wedding day.
