The studio is based in this affluent, leafy suburb on the London and Hertfordshire border, known for its private schools and green setting. Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, ancient woodland a short distance south, is the strongest outdoor location, and woodland light there rewards an early or late portrait window rather than the middle of the day. Mount Vernon Hospital, a long established hospital and cancer centre, is the area's landmark. Northwood Golf Club and Moor Park Golf Club are the local reception venues, both a short drive rather than a cross-county journey. Northwood station on the Metropolitan line in zone 6 brings guests out from central London without a car, and Moor Park, Northwood Hills and Rickmansworth are near enough that preparation, ceremony and reception can run without losing an hour to the road.

Different kit, different pace, and an edit that has to hold the pair together without pretending they were one event.
