Booking several days at once is really a logistics job with a camera attached. Each evening lands in a different building, lit by whatever that building owns, and none of them agrees with the one before. One wedding still has to come out of it, so the decisions worth making are early ones: which nights get full coverage, which get an hour, and where the gaps go, so nobody arrives worn out at the part you care most about.
Anybody who comes by Metropolitan line travels on the railway's timetable, not yours, and that turns the opening half hour of an event into a trickle. Excellent for candid pictures, poor for anything needing a full room, so we put the formal work later and photograph the early arrivals as they land, drink in hand, before the noise starts. Planned for, none of it costs you anything.
