The four laavan, each a hymn the couple circle the Guru Granth Sahib for, are the heart of the ceremony, and we capture them with reverence. Before the ceremony the groom's sehra is tied, and we photograph the sehra bandi with a gentle eye. The most sacred moments inside the gurdwara are captured with a quiet long lens, from a respectful distance.

We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the rituals. We photograph the chunni ceremony and the giving of the choora, and the emotion that comes with them. The reception is the joyful finale, with speeches, the first dance, bhangra and giddha.
