The Doli
The bride's departure from her family home, the most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity.
Punjabi Sikh wedding photographer in Stanmore, documenting the pre-wedding events, the Anand Karaj and the reception, captured as it happens and never staged.
Serving Stanmore
Stanmore is a leafy north-west London suburb close to grand venues. Sikh families throughout Edgware, Harrow Weald and Belmont trust us with their celebrations, large and small. From the darbar sahib to the reception floor, we photograph the whole day with a calm, familiar presence.
We follow your family's Sikh customs closely and photograph the sehra bandi and the palla exactly as you keep them. We blend candid storytelling with a handful of timeless portraits taken away from the bustle of the gurdwara. Inside the gurdwara we never turn our back to the Guru Granth Sahib, shooting discreetly from the sides and the back.
Stanmore is a leafy north-west London suburb close to grand venues, and we love photographing Sikh weddings here and across London and the surrounding area. We regularly cover nearby Pinner and Ealing as well. Venues we know well in and near Stanmore include Bentley Priory Museum and The Hive London.
Stanmore is a leafy suburb in the London Borough of Harrow with several nature reserves and open spaces. Stanmore station is the northern terminus of the Jubilee line. For portraits away from the celebration, Stanmore Country Park, known for its views across London works beautifully, and Bentley Priory, an 18th century estate that was the headquarters of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
The bride's departure from her family home, the most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity.
Beautifully bound albums designed around your favourite images of the four laavan and the milni.
The music, the dancing and the candlelit pots of the jaggo, captured with all their energy.
Every tradition
For families holding a Sri Akhand Path, we photograph the continuous reading with quiet reverence. The hukamnama, the reading taken after the laavan, closes the ceremony, and we capture it with respect. We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed.
The kaleere tied to the bride's choora carry their own meaning, and we photograph the ritual with care. We document the sagai and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. We photograph the bridal preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye.

The whole celebration
Some couples keep an elaborate sequence of events; others a simpler one, and we shape coverage to yours. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them.
We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance. Just fifteen minutes is enough for a handful of timeless portraits near your venue.
Why choose us
Our experience of Punjabi and Sikh weddings, inside the gurdwara and out, runs deep. With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about an Anand Karaj surprises us.
Reaching your gurdwara is simply part of how we work, and distance is never a barrier to covering the milni. We factor in the early gurdwara timings and the milni carefully, so we are always in position before the four laavan.

Where we travel
From London we reach Stanmore easily, and we know the darbar sahib and langar halls of Greater London well. We are used to Sikh celebrations spread across several venues, and keep the day flowing from the milni to the langar.

Good to know
Yes. We stay through the evening to capture the speeches, the first dance, the bhangra and the giddha, right to the last guest on the floor.
Very much so. We know the ceremony by heart, from the milni and the kirtan to the ardaas and the four laavan, and we position ourselves so each laav is captured calmly and respectfully.
Yes. We understand that gurdwaras often require an early finish, so the Anand Karaj usually falls in the morning. We plan our coverage around it and always arrive in good time.
From our London base, Stanmore and the rest of Greater London are an easy, familiar journey. You get a widely experienced Sikh wedding specialist who travels to you without fuss.
Absolutely. The maiyan, mehndi and jaggo night are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding.
