Wedding Photography at Kadwa Patidar Centre, Kenton
Bespoke packages · fast response · free consultation
Kadwa Patidar Centre on Kenmore Avenue is dry hire only. The venue's FAQ says you are "free to choose your own decorator and caterer", and it can pass on names of trusted suppliers if that helps. Alcohol is allowed, as long as it is not for sale. Non-vegetarian food is allowed. Among Gujarati community halls in Harrow, that combination is not a given.
We are an Asian wedding photography studio in Northwood, HA6, established 2001, rated 4.8 out of 5 from more than 580 Google reviews. We cover weddings at the KP Centre. What follows comes from the venue's published material; where it publishes nothing, we say so.

What Kadwa Patidar Centre allows, and what it does not say
Dry hire means your own caterer and your own decorator; the venue can suggest known and trusted suppliers.
- Alcohol is allowed, but not for sale, due to licensing regulations.
- Non-vegetarian food is allowed.
- Hours: 6am to midnight. You must be out by midnight at the latest — a hard stop.
- Minimum hire: 6 hours on weekdays, 10 hours at weekends.
- Deposit: £500 to £1,000, refundable by hours booked, returned within 2 weeks after the event less any damage. 14-day cooling-off period. Cancellation needs six months' written notice.
Confirm two things in writing. Civil ceremonies: Harrow Council's approved-premises list does not include the centre, and the venue says nothing either way. "Approved premises" for a civil ceremony and a "registered building" for a religious marriage are different statuses; one does not give you the other. Settle it before booking a registrar.
Ceremony detail: nothing is published on mandaps or size limits, or on open flame, havan or agni. A blog claims indoor fire is allowed and a directory lists mandap ceremonies; both are third-party and unverified, not venue policy. Baraat space, dhol, fireworks, member rates, hire prices and photography or drone rules are unpublished too.
Photography planning notes for Kadwa Patidar Centre
Planning notes, from the published facts only.
- Midnight ends the day. Everyone is out by midnight, so the last dance and final portraits sit well before it, with pack-down after. Build the running order backwards from midnight, then tell us where coverage stops.
- Bridal Suite, 6m × 3m, with large mirrors, air conditioning, natural and spot lighting. A small room, so agree who is in it and when.
- A second room is included in the hire, normally used by the groom's side, so both preparations can be covered on site.
- Main Hall 26m × 26m, stage 12m × 4m. A square room that size needs its lighting planned, not assumed.
- No outdoor space is listed. The park opposite is Kenton Recreation Ground, public, not part of your booking. Plan groups and couple portraits indoors.
- Parking figures conflict, so brief guests early rather than on the day.
The building
The centre is run by Shree Kadwa Patidar Samaj (UK), a charitable organisation formed in 1975 by families originating from the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. The building has been in use since 1993, funded by fundraising among the members. Besides the halls there is a Prayer Room of 10m × 6m, a Social Room of 11m × 9m, and a kitchen of 9m × 8m with five gas burners, a hot plate and a walk-in cooler room. Wheelchair access is listed on both official pages.
Getting there and parking
Kenmore Avenue, Kenton, Harrow, Middlesex HA3 8LU. Nearest stations, measured straight-line from the postcode rather than by walking route, are Harrow & Wealdstone at about 0.47 miles, Kenton at about 0.56 and Harrow-on-the-Hill at about 0.79. Walking distances will be longer.
Parking figures disagree across the venue's own pages: up to 135 cars across 2 car parks on one, approximately 130 between 2 car parks in the FAQ, up to 220 on the Samaj site. Extra school parking is offered for 10-hour bookings, subject to availability and at extra charge — 80 spaces per the FAQ, 5 on another page. Ask which applies to your date, and whether guest parking is free, which is also unpublished. We travel to Kenton from Northwood, HA6, but have not timed the drive, so we will not quote one.
