Most venues lead with capacity. Sattavis Patidar Centre leads with the fire. In its own words, the mandap "needs to be positioned so every guest has a sightline to the fire", and it provides "safe, ventilated space for the havan, properly managed rather than treated as an afterthought". Very few halls publish that. The ceremony was designed for here, not worked around.

What Sattavis Patidar Centre allows, and what it does not say
In the venue’s own words, the mandap "needs to be positioned so every guest has a sightline to the fire", with "safe, ventilated space for the havan, properly managed rather than treated as an afterthought". Mandap and havan are supported, and where the mandap sits is a sightline decision before a decorative one.
Civil ceremonies are covered too. The centre is on Brent's approved-premises register, approval recorded as running until 23 March 2027. Which rooms that covers, and the maximum legal ceremony capacity, are not stated. Confirm both with the venue and the Brent register office.
Catering you must settle in writing, because the sources contradict each other:
- The venue promotes its own kitchens: "master chefs curate authentic Patidar delicacies alongside gourmet international dishes".
- One directory says external catering is permitted.
- A blog says there is a preferred caterer list, with a kitchen-access charge.
- Another directory says own catering is not possible.
We are not going to pick a side. Make it your first question. Alcohol, bar and corkage are unpublished, as is anything on baraat space, dhol, a procession route or fireworks.

- Galleried viewing areas run along three sides of the IK Suite. Elevated positions are rare in a banqueting hall. They suit the full mandap frame and a busy dance floor.
- The IK Suite also has natural daylight, timber floors and mood-change lighting; daylight is not published for the Mostyn Suite. That changes how each part of your day is lit.
- The bridal glass walkway is a fixed feature of the Mostyn Suite. It sets where the entrance happens, so we know where to stand beforehand.
- The mandap is positioned for guest sightlines to the fire. What works for 500 guests usually works for a camera, but a clear line leaves less room to move, so angles are agreed in advance.
- Private bridal and groom suites adjoin the Mostyn Suite, so prep coverage stays on site.
- 220 free managed spaces behind the building take supplier arrival out of the equation.
- Nothing is published on photography, video, drone or lighting restrictions. We confirm those with your coordinator.
The building
The centre was built by and for the Shree Sattavis Gam Patidar Samaj (Europe), a registered charity, no. 1051926, registered 15 January 1996, whose stated purposes include promoting Gujarati language, literature, history, culture and tradition. That is community ownership, not a hospitality group, and it shows in how the ceremony spaces are described. Open House recognises the building as one of London's "great buildings", and the venue's About page credits an award-winning team of architects and designers. Hire is marketed publicly. Whether Samaj members get priority or better rates is not published.

Parking is the strongest practical fact published, in the venue’s own words: "220 spaces, on our own grounds, managed on event days, free of charge", with "No time limits. No pay-and-display." They sit directly behind the building.
We travel from our studio in Northwood HA6, and will not quote a drive time we have not measured. Third-party listings report the venue as wheelchair accessible, but its own site does not state it. Accessible WCs, lift access to the IK Suite galleries and accessible bays are unpublished. Ask the venue.
