The short answer

Your Asian wedding photographer in Wembley, at a glance

Kaushik Bathia is an award winning Asian wedding photographer based in London, photographing Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings in Wembley and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. Before the day we talk through the timeline in detail, flagging where the light will be, where the crowds will gather and where the quiet will fall. We photograph every Asian wedding tradition in Wembley, from the Hindu mandap and pheras to the Sikh Anand Karaj, the Muslim nikah and the Tamil muhurtham, across multi day celebrations. Handling several hundred guests, a moving baraat and a tight auspicious window all at once is second nature after a thousand weddings behind the lens. A second photographer, a female photographer for segregated events and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.

Serving Wembley

Capturing Asian Weddings in Wembley and Greater London

Wembley is a hugely diverse area, home to temples, gurdwaras and grand banqueting suites near the stadium. We travel throughout Harrow, Sudbury and Alperton for Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings, at home in temples, gurdwaras, mosques and banqueting suites alike. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones.

When the baraat arrives with drums and dancing we are in the thick of it, moving with the crowd so the welcome looks and feels exactly as loud as it was. At a nikah we stay respectful and unhurried, letting the signing, the blessings and the quiet joy unfold without asking anyone to pose for us. Knowing the order of a Hindu ceremony means we are already in position for the pheras and the sindoor, not scrambling to catch up once they begin.

We are often in Wembley for Asian weddings, and from London the area, taking in Harrow, Sudbury and Alperton, is an easy journey. Wembley is a hugely diverse area, home to temples, gurdwaras and grand banqueting suites near the stadium. We also photograph in nearby Greenford and Northolt. Venues we know well in and near Wembley include The Clay Oven Banqueting Suites, Sattavis Patidar Centre and Wembley International Hotel.

Wembley is a hugely diverse district of the London Borough of Brent, home to major Hindu temples, gurdwaras and grand banqueting suites near the stadium. Wembley Park station on the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines, with Wembley Central and Wembley Stadium stations nearby. For portraits away from the celebration, King Edward VII Park, a green space in the heart of Wembley works beautifully, and Wembley Stadium, the national football stadium with its signature arch adds a real sense of place.

What we offer

What is included in your Wembley Asian wedding coverage

01

The Vidaai

The farewell carries some of the deepest feeling of the day, and we hold those final embraces with the quiet they deserve.

02

Portraits That Last

Between the rituals we gather calm, considered portraits of you both, made to sit comfortably beside the candid frames.

Muslim Weddings

The dignity of the nikah and the warmth of the walima, sensitively photographed.

Every tradition

From the mandap to the gurdwara and the nikah

The garland exchange, when bride and groom raise the jaimala over one another, releases the first great cheer of the day, and we catch it as it breaks. We work quietly around the priest, the granthi or the imam so the ceremony is never disturbed. In the gurdwara, the couple circle the Guru Granth Sahib through the four laavan, and we follow that slow procession with the reverence the moment asks for.

The sangeet is an evening of music and rehearsed dance, and we capture all of its energy. We document the engagement and pre-wedding events that begin the journey, when families ask us. For Muslim families the walima is a generous celebration in its own right, and we cover it as fully as the nikah that precedes it.

The whole celebration

The whole celebration in Wembley

Garba and dandiya call for a photographer who can keep up, so we stay inside the rhythm of the dancing rather than watching politely from the edge of the floor. The sangeet brings an evening of rehearsed dances and late-night music before the wedding day itself.

A wedding that moves between temple, hall and reception needs coverage that moves with it, and we handle those transitions so your day reads as one story, not three. The reception has its own tempo, softer at first and then loud, and we read that shift so the speeches, the first dance and the late-night floor all feel complete.

Why choose us

An Asian wedding photographer covering Wembley

More than a thousand celebrations sit behind us, and that depth means we recognise the mangalsutra moment, the fourth laav or the signing of the nikah before it arrives. Twenty-five years in, we still prepare for each wedding as though it were our first, learning your family's particular customs before we lift a camera.

We cover the whole of the UK for Asian weddings, so wherever your family gathers, distance is never the reason to look elsewhere. We photograph across Greater London regularly, and travelling to Wembley is second nature.

Good to know

Wedding photography in Wembley, frequently asked questions

We do. Asian weddings across every tradition, Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil, are what we specialise in, and we happily make the journey to Wembley and the towns around it. As London-based photographers used to travel of every kind, distance is never a problem.

Most Asian weddings run from the morning preparations through to the reception, so full-day coverage works best and captures the whole story. For multi-day celebrations we tailor the hours to your events, and can cover a single key day or a long weekend from beginning to end.

Yes, and we enjoy the variety a fusion day brings. Whether you are combining a Hindu ceremony with a civil service, or a Sikh and Muslim family coming together, we respect the customs of each side. We plan the timeline carefully so both traditions are given equal attention.

Yes. The haldi or pithi is a warm, joyful morning ritual where turmeric is applied to the couple, and it makes for wonderfully candid, colourful photographs. We keep back a little to let the family enjoy the fun freely, stepping in close only when the moment invites it.

Ceremony halls and prayer rooms can be dimly lit, and we are used to it. We rely on fast lenses and careful technique to keep images clean and natural, avoiding harsh flash during sacred moments. Where a little light is needed for the reception, we use it discreetly.

We are. The muhurtham, the tying of the thali and the many other rituals of a Tamil or South Indian wedding are all part of our work, and we understand their early timings and the order in which they unfold.

Asian receptions often carry on well into the evening, and we plan our coverage to see the day through to the moments that matter to you. We agree the finishing point in advance, and if the celebration overruns we will always discuss options rather than simply pack away.
