The short answer
An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in Wealdstone and across Greater London. Silence is a tool, and during kanyadaan we use it, working without a word so a father can give his daughter away without a photographer in his ear. Multi day Asian weddings are a speciality in Wealdstone, from the pre wedding events and the baraat to the ceremony and the reception, whatever your tradition. Knowing the running order of a Sikh Anand Karaj, a Gujarati hastamelap or a Tamil muhurtham means we are never caught out by a sudden change of pace. A second photographer, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Harrow district life gives Wealdstone a mixed, everyday feel, with Kenton and Belmont close by and banqueting halls that handle very different celebrations across a single weekend. An Asian wedding here might be a nikah on one day and a Hindu mandap on the next, and the coverage plan has to be rebuilt for each. Knowing when to stop shooting matters more than equipment, which in a district like this means during prayer, during rukhsati and during minutes no family asked to have recorded.
Serving Wealdstone
Wealdstone is a Harrow district north of the town centre. We photograph Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings throughout Harrow Weald, Stanmore and the surrounding towns. The joining of hands, the knotting of the couple's garments and their first shared steps carry a marriage forward, and we document each stage as it comes.
We cover both families equally, making sure the groom's side and the bride's side each come away with a full record of their own people and their own moments. We work quietly through the sacred parts and lift the energy for the baraat, reading each moment as it comes rather than pulling you out of it for set-up shots. At a nikah we stay respectful and unhurried, letting the signing, the blessings and the quiet joy unfold without asking anyone to pose for us.
From the mehndi to the reception we keep the day flowing across Greater London, and Wealdstone is a Harrow district north of the town centre, firmly within the ground we cover. We also work in nearby Harrow Weald and Kenton. Venues we have photographed at near Wealdstone include Premier Banqueting London and Masefield Suite & Byron Hall.
A Harrow district north of the town centre, historically known for the Kodak works that once employed thousands locally. Served by Harrow and Wealdstone station on the Bakerloo line, London Overground and the West Coast Main Line. When there is time for couple portraits, Byron Recreation Ground, an open green space with playing fields and playground is a favourite, and the former Kodak factory site on Headstone Drive, a longstanding local landmark makes a memorable setting.

Every tradition
For Gujarati families we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras and photograph each as you keep it. Shoes off, heads covered and no frame taken from above seated level: those are the terms of photographing inside a gurdwara, and we keep them without needing reminding. For Sikh couples, the Anand Karaj and the four laavan in the gurdwara are the heart of the day, photographed with the calm the Guru Granth Sahib deserves.
The mehndi or henna night is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. Speeches at an Asian reception can run long and range from tearful to merciless, and we watch the top table's reactions as closely as the speaker. A pithi is turmeric, water and cousins with no restraint whatsoever, so we protect the kit accordingly while staying close enough for it to actually look messy.

The whole celebration
Rain, a late hairdresser or a missing dupatta will not change our pace, because a morning needs one calm person in the room and it may as well be us. Early events reveal the people behind the wedding, so we spend the haldi and sangeet learning who matters, which helps every later frame feel like it belongs to you.
The hours after the ceremony often hold the warmest pictures, and we stay present through the lunch, the family visits and the slow gathering of energy toward the evening. On the wedding day, the baraat, the ceremony and the vows build to the farewell and the reception.
Why choose us
Families return to us, and recommend us, because we treat every ritual as it deserves. A quarter of a century in, we still write out the running order by hand before every wedding, because familiarity is not the same thing as preparation.
London and Northwood are our base, and a wedding anywhere in Greater London is a journey we would gladly make for the whole celebration. Wherever your events take place across London and the surrounding area, we will be there in good time.

Where we travel
Long-distance bookings are part of how we work, and we are glad to talk through what covering a celebration in Greater London would involve. We cover the whole of the UK for Asian weddings, so wherever your family gathers, distance is never the reason to look elsewhere.

Good to know
No cause for concern. Receptions frequently stretch well into the evening, and we shape our coverage around the moments that mean the most to you. We confirm a wrap time when you book, and if the party keeps going we always raise the choices with you rather than disappearing. We cover Wealdstone and nearby Kenton, Belmont and Harrow.
Of course we will. When two faiths come together, both deserve equal attention, and that is exactly what we give them. By speaking with each family in advance we learn what holds the greatest meaning for them, and we plan the day so nobody feels their customs were overlooked. For Wealdstone bookings the nearest link is served by Harrow and Wealdstone station on the Bakerloo line, London Overground and the West Coast Main Line.
Absolutely. The baraat is one of the day's liveliest moments, whether the groom comes on a horse, in an open car or on foot amid dhol drummers through the streets of Wealdstone. We move with the procession to catch the dancing and the greeting, keeping sure-footed so no moment is missed.
Experience is the answer. After more than a thousand weddings, we read the pace of an Asian day instinctively, moving ahead of the action rather than chasing it. A second photographer covers a different angle at busy moments, so nothing important slips past unrecorded. In and around Wealdstone that has included Premier Banqueting London and Masefield Suite & Byron Hall.
Yes. We record the dignity of the nikah, the signing of the marriage contract and the giving of the mehr, together with the warmth of the walima, always working respectfully within your family's customs and arranging extra photographers when the events are held separately. We know Wealdstone well, including the former Kodak factory site on Headstone Drive, a longstanding local landmark.
Yes. Every photograph we deliver is hand-edited for colour, tone and consistency across the days, and our chosen portraits receive light, natural retouching. We aim for images that look timeless rather than heavily processed, so they age gracefully within your album. Around Wealdstone we have photographed at Premier Banqueting London and Masefield Suite & Byron Hall.
