Several days, several buildings, and the danger is almost never the ceremonies themselves. Somebody is already in charge of those. The unowned hours are the ones to watch, once an event has closed and before the next one opens, while the family travels, changes and eats, and no supplier has been told any of it belongs to them. Those hours are also where every portrait must live, which is why we plan them first here and not last.
A week based in Acton can stay within the London Borough of Ealing, so nobody needs to sleep somewhere unfamiliar between events. What it does not fix is repetition. The same forty faces turn up at four events, and unless the rooms and the wardrobes are doing the work, day three looks like day one in the edit. We plan the week so each day carries something the others do not.
