The short answer
Kaushik Bathia has photographed Asian weddings across Greater London for over twenty five years, and couples in Hounslow choose him for calm, knowledgeable coverage of every tradition, backed by five European Gold awards. We arrive early, stay late and keep pace with every part of the celebration. From the mehndi and sangeet to the baraat, the ceremony and the reception, we photograph every part of an Asian wedding in and around Hounslow with knowledge and care. You want a photographer who reads the day instinctively, and instinct like that is simply what twenty-five years of Asian weddings leaves behind. A second photographer, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Four Asian wedding venues within one west London borough is a rare concentration, and Hounslow earns its reputation. Nakshatra Wedding and Conference Hall and Takaa Tak Banqueting Hall take a Hindu garba or a Sikh reception; Honeymoon Banqueting handles a walima; Heston Hyde Hotel suits the hotel version. Isleworth, Brentford and Chiswick keep guests close and the A4 Great West Road runs through. Award winning and a Fellow of the BIPP and the MPA, the photographer reads the room and its colour before the ceremony begins.
Serving Hounslow
Hounslow is a hugely diverse west London borough with many Asian wedding venues. Couples come to us from across London and the surrounding area, and Heston, Cranford and Isleworth are firmly on our patch. At a Hindu wedding, the pheras around the sacred fire seal the marriage, and we capture them close.
At a nikah we stay respectful and unhurried, letting the signing, the blessings and the quiet joy unfold without asking anyone to pose for us. We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap and the mehndi, that make your day yours. Documentary does not mean passive, so when the sindoor is about to be applied we are already at the right shoulder, close enough to hold the gesture.
Wherever your venues are across Hounslow and Greater London, we plan the route and the timings in advance. Hounslow is a hugely diverse west London borough with many Asian wedding venues. We also photograph in nearby Feltham and Southall. Local wedding venues we know near Hounslow include Heston Hyde Hotel, Honeymoon Banqueting and Takaa Tak Banqueting Hall.
A diverse west London borough close to Heathrow, with a busy High Street and a large mix of communities. Served by Hounslow Central, East and West stations on the Piccadilly line, with the A4 Great West Road running through it. We often take couples to Lampton Park, the largest park in Hounslow for a few quiet portraits, and Osterley Park, a National Trust mansion and parkland estate is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
For large celebrations, a second shooter covers the baraat and the preparations at once.
At home with the mandap, the pheras, the pithi and the hastamelap.
The muhurtham and the tying of the thali, captured with care and respect.
Every tradition
The garland exchange, when bride and groom raise the jaimala over one another, releases the first great cheer of the day, and we catch it as it breaks. Knotting the couple's garments before the pheras is the moment two families are physically bound together, and we photograph the knot itself rather than only the walk that follows. The mandap fills with smoke once the agni is lit, and we work with that rather than against it, letting the haze carry the light around the fire.
We capture the family moments around the couple, not just the rituals. The doli empties a house of its noise, and we photograph the emptiness afterwards as well as the goodbye itself. Sagai and ring ceremonies are brief but photograph beautifully, particularly the parents watching, and we treat them as their own event rather than a preamble.

The whole celebration
The pleating of a saree or lehenga takes two people and twenty minutes, and it makes a far better picture than the finished result standing against a wall. Grandparents are usually ready an hour before anyone else and sit waiting, and those quiet portraits at the start are among the most valuable we take all day.
We document the grand moments and the quiet ones in between, so nothing is lost. Portraits do not need an hour, and we would rather take fifteen minutes twice than remove you from your own wedding for a long session.
Why choose us
Award recognition came from single images, but the skill that matters across a thousand weddings is consistency, delivering the same standard at hour twelve as at hour one. Fellowship of both the BIPP and the MPA is not decoration; it is a body of assessors agreeing the work stands up, print by print, over years.
Distance has never been the deciding factor for us, so if your venues sit across Greater London, we will plan the route and build the timings around them. Multi-venue days are normal in our work, and if yours spans Greater London we would rather reach each location early than arrive alongside the guests.

Where we travel
We cover London and the surrounding area and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield on request. We photograph across Heston, Cranford and Isleworth regularly, and returning to the county for a wedding feels less like travel and more like familiar ground.

Good to know
Certainly. Large weddings are only part of what we do, so an intimate nikah, an engagement among family or a registry ceremony followed by a quiet get-together are all warmly welcome. The scale makes no difference to the documentary care we bring to your day. Locally in Hounslow that takes in Osterley Park, a National Trust mansion and parkland estate.
Certainly. Plenty of couples hold a register office or civil ceremony alongside their religious rites, sometimes on separate days, and we are happy to cover both. We build a timeline that connects the two, so your finished collection tells one continuous story of how you married. Around Hounslow we have photographed at Heston Hyde Hotel and Honeymoon Banqueting.
Of course. Many Asian families fix the wedding day by an auspicious muhurat, and those sought-after dates fill up quickly. When you are ready, a booking secures your Hounslow date, and we would encourage you to enquire well ahead so your chosen photographer is free when the day arrives.
Yes, and it is one of the parts of a Hounslow wedding we most enjoy. We capture the dhol, the dancing and the groom's arrival, along with the milni as the two families meet, with all of its energy.
We do. After twenty-five years across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings, the order of events in each tradition is second nature to us, which means we are always where we need to be for the moments that matter most. Outdoors in Hounslow we like Lampton Park, the largest park in Hounslow.
Absolutely, on hundreds of occasions. Dhol players, DJs, decorators and caterers are all part of the Asian wedding world we work in, and we know how to weave around them without treading on toes. When everyone cooperates well, the day runs beautifully and we are always ready for the next moment. We cover Hounslow and nearby Isleworth, Brentford and Chiswick.
Yes. Alongside your album we provide an online gallery of your edited images, easy to share with family whether they live near Hounslow or overseas. Relatives who could not make the wedding can then see the day and, where you wish, order prints of their own.
