To a camera, a four-post canopy is mostly posts. Once the structure stands, only two or three spots in the room can see both faces at once, and they do not change later. We pace those out early, because nobody is shifting a mandap once it has been dressed. Havan smoke then does something no meter predicts. It thickens every hard beam coming down off the rig and flattens whatever sits behind it, so the exposure drifts warm across the ceremony and has to be pulled back by hand.
The circuit around the agni repeats, which is the trap. Seven honest frames from one good position are seven copies. Each lap therefore changes something: our height, our angle onto the fire, or the lens on the body. Kanyadaan and the varmala reward patience. Sindoor is quicker than a reaction, and the mangalsutra quicker still, so the frame is already sitting on the couple's hands before anyone reaches for either.
