What people end up keeping is often unconnected to the ceremony itself. It comes from the gaps: a kitchen at seven in the morning, a car park, a corridor where somebody is pinning somebody else together. Planning therefore works in weeks rather than hours, and whoever is holding the camera still has to be sharp on the last of those days.
Green space is what the borough genuinely offers here. Venues nearby include Forty Hall, Crews Hill Golf Club and Capel Manor Gardens. Forty Hall was built between 1629 and 1632 and stands in parkland of its own. Enfield Town holds a small piece of banking history, as the world's first cash machine was installed at its Barclays branch in 1967. That is trivia until you need somewhere recognisable to stand a couple for ten minutes between two events.
