For Gujarati families the garba and the raas fill the evening with colour and movement, and we love photographing them. We capture the groom's arrival in procession, on a horse, in a car or on foot, surrounded by dancing family. Langar after an anand karaj is served to everyone equally and seated on the floor, and photographing it is photographing the heart of what a Sikh wedding means.

Before anyone is dressed, the house is full of quiet moments worth keeping, and we move through them gently, letting parents and grandparents be exactly as they are. The mehndi gathering is where the whole family finally lands in one place, and we photograph the reunions, the cups of chai and the henna drying across a dozen hands.
The last dance and the send-off close the story, and we stay through both, because an album that stops at the speeches always feels unfinished. We keep the day flowing, moving smoothly between the ceremony, the family photos and the reception.
