Kaushik did a great job in taking both formal and informal portrait photos. He is an enthusiastic professional photographer who made me feel at ease. The photographs were excellent and have been greatly admired.
I did a fabulous photoshoot with Kaushik and thoroughly enjoyed it! I was very nervous, but he made me feel at ease! I will hopefully return for another one at a later date!
My two sisters and I ‘ the golden girls’ had a great, hilarious photo session. Kaushik is very professional and took some amazing photos especially when we were laughing so much trying to get up from the floor. Can’t wait to see ‘air brushed’ version. Well at 75 you need a little help. Definitely recommend Kashuik. He enjoyed our craziness!

Daylight arrives from open sky and then comes back off pale weathered masonry standing on two or three sides of the subject, so the shadow beneath the brow and jaw stays open without anyone holding a reflector. The Curfew Tower and St Margaret's on the same site offer the opposite condition, a solid mass that blocks the sky and drops a face into clean directional shade. Having both conditions on one site means a sitting here may not need a second location. It needs a decision about which of the two suits the face in front of the lens. Season matters less on this ground than it would in a wooded park, because there is no canopy to come and go. What changes is the angle of the sun on the stone. In winter it stays low and rakes across the masonry, and the texture behind the sitter turns strong and graphic. At midsummer noon it falls almost straight down, the walls stop returning anything useful, and the eyes go dark. That is the one part of the year worth booking around rather than working through. Clothing follows the stone. Old stone is often warm, mid-toned and busy with texture, so cream, beige and anything stone-coloured sinks straight into it, and a patterned shoulder fights the wall behind it. Solid mid-to-deep colour separates cleanly, and a cool tone counters the warmth the stone pushes back into skin.
