The short answer

Where can I get graduation photos taken near me?

Graduation portraits are taken at the studio on The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, near Harrow, Pinner, Ruislip and Watford, or on location if you prefer. Your gown is welcome, and the session covers formal and relaxed frames, solo and with family. In the studio the light is controlled and there is no weather or crowd to fight, so there is time to get the cap and gown exactly right. Sessions are booked in advance by phone, WhatsApp or the form below.

The session

What happens at a graduation shoot

We start with the graduate alone, in the classic formal portrait, then move to relaxed frames and the family groups. Posing and expression are coached throughout, and the gown and hood are arranged properly before every frame.

One small thing makes a big difference: the mortarboard should sit level, not tipped back, and it is the detail most often wrong in graduation pictures.

Timing

When to book your graduation portrait

Gown hire is usually returned on the day of the ceremony, so plan the session around it. If your own gown is available for longer, or you are bringing family from further away, a separate studio date can be calmer than the ceremony day itself.
