Serving Barking and Dagenham
Barking and Dagenham is an east London borough by the river Roding. Wherever your events are held across Newham, Redbridge, we plan the timings and travel with care. Right across Greater London we photograph the colour and devotion of every event, large and small.
We are calm and unhurried at the mosque, gathering the whole nikah without ever getting in the imam's way. We work discreetly around the imam or qazi, never intruding on the ijab-e-qubool or the dua. We are mindful of modesty throughout, and photograph the gender-segregated celebrations with sensitivity.
From our London base we travel across Greater London for Muslim weddings, and Barking and Dagenham, an east London borough by the river Roding, is a familiar destination. We also photograph in nearby Barnet and Bexley. We are at home at Barking and Dagenham-area venues such as Oasis Banqueting, Green Lane Banqueting and Crown Banqueting Suite.
An east London borough by the river Roding, home to the Becontree estate, one of the largest council-built estates in the world. Barking station serves the District, Hammersmith and City and c2c lines, with the A13 running through the borough into central London. When there is time for couple portraits, Central Park in Dagenham, opened in 1932 on former Eastbrook Farm land is a favourite, and Barking Abbey ruins and the 15th century Curfew Tower beside St Margaret's Church makes a memorable setting.

What we offer
Pakistani, Bengali, Arab, Turkish and Somali nikah customs, each understood and honoured.
The agreeing of the mahr and the closing dua of the nikah, photographed quietly and respectfully.
From the morning preparations to the last dance of the walima, every event told as one story.
Every tradition
The most solemn moments of the nikah are captured from a respectful distance with a quiet long lens. The rukhsati, when the bride leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment, and we photograph it gently. At the heart of a Muslim wedding is the nikah, the marriage contract that joins the couple.
The music and dancing of the mehndi are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. The walima is the joyful feast hosted by the groom's family, and we cover it in full.

The whole celebration
The ladies' mehndi is often a celebration of its own, and a female photographer can cover it fully. Many Muslim weddings begin days before with the mangni, the mehndi and evenings of dholki.
The wedding day itself is a journey, from the nikah and the ijab-e-qubool to the rukhsati and the walima. The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the nikah alone.
Why choose us
We bring the steadiness that only comes from photographing the mehndi and the walima for twenty-five years. Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of the order of the nikah.
From our London base, Barking and Dagenham and the rest of Greater London are an easy journey for your nikah. We cover London and the surrounding area and beyond for the mehndi, the nikah and the walima, and travel further afield on request.

Where we travel
We travel happily across Greater London and the surrounding counties for the baraat, the nikah and the walima. We photograph nikah ceremonies throughout London and the surrounding area, and Barking and Dagenham is firmly within the area we cover.

Good to know
Yes. The rukhsati, the bride's farewell as she leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment of the day, and we photograph it gently and with great sensitivity, staying at a respectful distance so the family's emotion is honoured.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
Absolutely. The mangni, the mehndi and the dholki are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with a female photographer for the ladies' events where you wish.
