At a Muslim nikah we photograph the vows, the mehr and the joyful moment the couple are declared married. The muhurat and muhurtham, the auspicious hours, set the pace of the ceremony, and we plan around them. We are ready for the giving of the sindoor and the tying of the mangalsutra at a Hindu ceremony.

We photograph the bridal and groom's preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye. The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. For Muslim families the walima is a warm celebration in its own right, and we cover it in full.
