The short answer
Kaushik Bathia has photographed weddings across Greater London for over twenty five years, and couples in Kensington and Chelsea choose him for calm, natural coverage backed by more than a thousand weddings and five European Gold awards. We prefer honest to perfect, so we hold back from rearranging people or props and let the day look the way it really was as it happened. Whatever your wedding looks like in Kensington and Chelsea, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. Whatever the size or style of your wedding, we have very likely photographed something similar, and that familiarity lets us focus fully on your particular day. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Kensington and Chelsea
Kensington and Chelsea is an elegant central London borough. From hotel weddings to barn celebrations and register office ceremonies, we photograph the full spread of venues in Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham and the wider Greater London. Our approach to the ceremony is simple: watch closely, stay out of the way and record the promises exactly as you make them.
Our approach leans on being calm and unobtrusive, blending into the day so guests forget we are there and simply carry on enjoying themselves. We give couples space to enjoy their own wedding, gathering the images around you rather than pulling you out of the moment for the sake of a shot. We blend honest reportage with a short set of relaxed, guided portraits, so you keep both the candid frames and a handful of timeless ones you will treasure.
Kensington and Chelsea is one of the places we come back to season after season. Kensington and Chelsea is an elegant central London borough, and our work naturally reaches the nearby Lambeth and Lewisham too. Close to Kensington and Chelsea, we have worked at venues including The Orangery at Kensington Palace, Chelsea Old Town Hall and The Chelsea Harbour Hotel.
One of London's most affluent royal boroughs, known for elegant garden squares, Georgian townhouses and the museums of South Kensington. Served by South Kensington and Sloane Square Underground stations on the District and Circle lines. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Holland Park, including the Kyoto Garden, with The Natural History Museum on Cromwell Road close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
We photograph weddings across the country and are happy to travel wherever your celebration is taking place.
We keep family and group shots efficient and good humoured, so you are back with your guests within minutes.
From grand country houses to village halls and city hotels, we read the light and space of wherever you marry.
Every kind of wedding
From the moment the doors open to the confetti afterwards, we treat the ceremony as the heart of the day and photograph it with patience and care. Whatever words you speak and whoever leads them, we photograph the ceremony as a story, from the anticipation before it to the relief and joy after. We photograph civil ceremonies, religious services and humanist celebrations with the same care, honouring your traditions and the shape your day is meant to take.
A pre-wedding shoot around Kensington and Chelsea or a place that means something to you gives us relaxed images and a head start on the wedding day. We photograph the speeches from more than one angle when a second photographer is with us, so you keep both the joke and the reaction to it. We handle the group photographs briskly and kindly, keeping the list short so you are not pulled away from your guests for longer than you need to be.

The whole celebration
Arriving early means we are ready when the unplanned things happen, the surprise visit, the last hug, the quiet minute alone before you leave for the venue. We talk through the timeline with you well ahead, marking the light, the travel and the key moments so the early part of the day runs without a rush.
Because a wedding is one long story rather than a handful of set pieces, we photograph the connective moments that hold the day together. We give equal care to the quiet moments and the big ones, so the finished set tells the whole story of the day, not just its highlights.
Why choose us
Years of working in every kind of venue mean we understand how light behaves in a church, a marquee or a country house, and we plan our coverage accordingly. After twenty-five years we have learned that reassurance matters as much as skill, so we keep communication clear and easy from your first enquiry onwards.
The driving is ours to worry about, not yours, and we think nothing of a longer run to reach a venue in Greater London. We are used to travelling for weddings, so reaching your venue in Greater London is straightforward, and we happily follow the day from preparations through to the evening.

Where we travel
We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Greater London are all comfortably within our reach. Long journeys and remote settings suit us well, and weddings across Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham and the further reaches of Greater London are all within easy reach.

Good to know
Yes. Every couple receives their full set of edited high-resolution images through a private online gallery, with the freedom to print them for your own use. You can download them, order prints, and share the link with loved ones who could not be there. Your photographs are yours to enjoy for many years to come.
We focus on ground-based photography and do not fly drones ourselves, since aerial work needs separate licensing and insurance. If your venue allows it and you want aerial coverage, we can suggest a qualified operator to work alongside us. Our attention stays on the people and moments throughout the day.
Wherever possible we aim for softer light in the later afternoon, often around golden hour, which flatters skin and adds warmth. We only need fifteen to twenty minutes, and we can split it into two short sessions. We will suggest the best slot once we see your timings and the season.
Absolutely. Our style is largely documentary, so we tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, without lots of stiff posing. We will still gather the handful of family groups you would like, then step back and let the day breathe. You should feel present at your own wedding, not managed through it.
Absolutely. Whether you are marrying with a handful of guests in Kensington and Chelsea or hosting a large celebration, we bring the same care and attention. Smaller weddings often have a lovely closeness to them, and we adapt our coverage and hours to suit the scale of your day rather than applying a one-size approach.
Yes, we ask for a booking fee when you confirm, which reserves your date in our diary and comes off your total balance. The remaining amount is then due a few weeks before the wedding. We will set everything out clearly in writing, so you always know exactly where you stand.
Pricing depends on how many hours you need, whether you want a second photographer and if an album is included. We work to a range of packages and can also build something bespoke around your plans in Kensington and Chelsea. The best next step is to tell us your date and venues so we can send a clear, honest quote with no obligation.
