…Kaushik has an incredible eye for detail and an exceptional talent for capturing those fleeting, candid moments that made our wedding so unique. The photos are absolutely stunning—full of emotion, vibrancy, and creativity. He didn’t just take photographs; he told the story of our wedding day in the most heartfelt and artistic way possible.

Register offices

Ealing, Brent and Hounslow: three register offices, three different rooms

Ealing Council runs two kinds of ceremony. Basic statutory ceremonies, with the couple and two witnesses, take place in room N5A at Perceval House, 14/16 Uxbridge Road, in Ealing town centre. Larger register office ceremonies move to the Small Hall at The Brentham Club, 38A Meadvale Road, W5 1NP, which holds up to 30 guests. The council also keeps the list of approved premises in the borough, so a registrar can come to a licensed venue in Greenford, Perivale or Southall instead.

Brent Register Office is on the ground floor of Brent Civic Centre, 32 Engineers Way, Wembley, close to the stadium. Its ceremony suite holds up to 100 guests, has floor-to-ceiling windows, and is dressed with a flower wall and a flowered arch that make a ready backdrop for the signing and the first family groups. Outside, the council's Ceremony Gardens have three planted areas, pergolas and an all-weather canopy for outdoor ceremonies through the year. Our Brent Register Office guide goes into more detail.

Hounslow Register Office is at Feltham Lodge, a restored Victorian house at 38-40 Harlington Road West, Feltham. The Garden Room holds up to 30 guests and opens onto a tiled, wrought-iron veranda and a lawned garden, and from May to September couples can choose a Saturday ceremony out in the garden, weather permitting. The veranda gives you a sheltered place for confetti and groups if the sky turns grey halfway through the afternoon.

The edges of the area

Chelsea, Uxbridge and Hendon for couples at the edges

At the river end of the area, Chelsea Old Town Hall on King's Road is a licensed ceremony venue in Kensington and Chelsea, with a Small Hall seating up to 138 guests and a Main Hall seating up to 338. That is a different scale from the 30-guest rooms in Ealing and Feltham, and it lets a large family sit together for the vows. The borough is 11.3 miles from Northwood, the furthest point covered on this page.

Near the airport, Hillingdon Council's own ceremony rooms are at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge, with the Nova Room for up to 20 guests and the Astra Suite for up to 80, plus the Great Barn at Manor Farm in Ruislip, which takes up to 150 for the ceremony and 200 for the reception. Couples on the Cricklewood side, which is split between Brent and Barnet along the Edgware Road, may find Barnet's register office the easier choice: it moved from Burnt Oak to Hendon Town Hall in February 2017.

Licensed venues

Booking a licensed venue in Ealing or Hounslow

If you are marrying away from the register office, the paperwork differs by borough. In Hounslow, for any licensed venue other than Feltham Lodge you book the venue and the registrar separately. Secure both before the invitations go to print. Our Chiswick heritage house guide and our riverside estate guide cover planning at two of the borough's licensed houses.

Ealing Council's approved premises range across restaurants, golf clubs, hotels and heritage buildings. Our Perivale banqueting guide looks at one of them, on the Perivale side of the borough. Whichever licensed venue you choose, confirm with the council that the room you want is the room on the licence, and ask the venue how long you have it for, because that sets the shape of the photography timeline.

Portraits

Where to take portraits between the ceremony and the meal

West London is short of open countryside but rich in parks with history. Walpole Park in Ealing has a Serpentine Lake, a fishpond with fountains and Regency-planted beds laid out for Sir John Soane, with Pitzhanger Manor at its edge. Gunnersbury Park, on the Ealing and Hounslow border, has 72 hectares of Grade II* listed parkland with formal gardens and lakes. Osterley Park, run by the National Trust, has a house remodelled by Robert Adam between 1761 and 1765.

By the Thames, Strand-on-the-Green is a conservation area of 18th- and 19th-century listed houses just downriver from Kew Bridge, and Chiswick Mall is a row of mainly Georgian and Victorian houses with their gardens across the road on the riverbank. Chiswick Mall partly floods at high spring tides, so check the tide table before planning a riverside walk there. North of the A40, Gladstone Park in Dollis Hill has views across London from the top of its hill.

A short stop on the route between ceremony and reception is usually enough. Twenty minutes in a park that is already on your way gives you a set of relaxed couple portraits without keeping guests waiting at the reception, and a pre-wedding shoot in the same park beforehand means you already know where to stand.

Getting around

Moving a wedding day around the A40, the North Circular and the river

Your day may use more than one place: a ceremony in Wembley, portraits in a park, a reception off the A40. The roads between them, the A40 Western Avenue, the A406 North Circular and the Hanger Lane gyratory where they meet, can be slow, so build travel time between venues into the timeline. Hammersmith Bridge reopened to pedestrians and cyclists in April 2025, but in July 2026 the council shelved plans to reopen it to motor traffic, so a wedding car heading for Barnes needs another bridge.

For guests, the Elizabeth line ties much of the area together, stopping at Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing, Ealing Broadway and Acton Main Line on its way to Heathrow, which helps relatives flying in. Wedding photography starts from £750. Packages are built around your day, with a second photographer available when the morning has two homes to cover at once, and travel from Northwood, between 4.2 and 11.3 miles, is quoted up front in writing before you book.

Weddings in West London: questions answered

Wedding photography starts from £750. Packages are built around your day, so the price depends on the hours, whether you want a second photographer and whether you would like an album. Travel from Northwood to West London is short, and it is set out in your written quote with everything else, so you can compare like with like.

Ealing's larger register office ceremonies are held in the Small Hall at The Brentham Club in Meadvale Road, which holds up to 30 guests. Registrars set the rules for photography during the legal part of any ceremony, so ask what is allowed during the vows and the signing. Kaushik follows their guidance and works quietly from the side of the room.

Brent's ceremony suite at Brent Civic Centre holds up to 100 guests, the largest of the three borough register offices compared on this page. It has floor-to-ceiling windows, a flower wall and a flowered arch, and the Ceremony Gardens outside give you an outdoor option. Wembley Park and Wembley Central stations are both close for guests coming by Tube.

Yes. From May to September, couples at Feltham Lodge can choose a Saturday ceremony in the lawned garden, weather permitting, with the Garden Room inside as the alternative. Brent's Ceremony Gardens in Wembley are another outdoor option, with pergolas and an all-weather canopy for use through the year.

Yes, Kaushik photographs weddings at any venue. In Hounslow, for any licensed venue other than Feltham Lodge you book the venue and the registrar separately, so secure both before the invitations are sent. Our Chiswick heritage house guide and our riverside estate guide have more planning detail.

Kensington and Chelsea is about 11.3 miles from Northwood, the furthest part of West London on this page, with Hammersmith and Fulham at 10.7 miles and Chiswick at 9.9. Kaushik travels to the venue on the morning, and that travel is quoted in writing before you book, as it is for every wedding.

As soon as the venue and registrar are confirmed. Feltham Lodge's outdoor garden ceremonies run only on Saturdays from May to September, so those dates are limited by nature, and a licensed venue in Hounslow needs its registrar booked separately. Send your date with the enquiry form and Kaushik will confirm whether it is free.
