The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Brent and throughout Greater London for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. We prefer honest to perfect, so we hold back from rearranging people or props and let the day look the way it really was as it happened. Church, civil, country house, barn, marquee or hotel, and every faith, culture and fusion celebration, we are equally at home photographing them all in Brent. Over a thousand couples have trusted us with their wedding, and that depth of experience is why we stay composed when the timing tightens or the weather turns. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Greater London and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Brent
Brent is a diverse north-west London borough. From intimate register office ceremonies to grand country estates, we cover every kind of venue throughout Harrow, Barnet and the wider Greater London. Our approach to the ceremony is simple: watch closely, stay out of the way and record the promises exactly as you make them.
Small, telling details matter to us as much as the big set pieces, so we photograph the handwritten notes, the borrowed jewellery and the quiet glances between courses. We keep a low profile through the ceremony and speeches, using longer lenses from a distance so nobody feels watched and the real reactions come through. We work in available light wherever we can, adding a soft flash only when a dark room needs it, so the images stay true to how the evening looked.
Getting across to Brent is a straightforward run for us. Brent is a diverse north-west London borough, and we photograph weddings here and throughout the surrounding towns, Bromley and Camden among them. Brent and the towns around it offer venues such as The Clay Oven Banqueting, Brent Civic Centre and Wembley International Hotel, all familiar to us.
A diverse north-west London borough known for the Neasden Swaminarayan Temple and richly multicultural communities. Wembley Park station is served by the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Fryent Country Park near Kingsbury, 103 hectares of rolling fields and small woods, and Wembley Stadium, reopened in 2007 with a 90,000 seat capacity and its landmark arch gives the day a strong sense of Brent.

What we offer
Quiet preparation hours carry real feeling, so we photograph the details, the nerves and the calm before you leave.
We stay from morning preparations through to the evening party, so every part of your day is photographed as it happens.
A second photographer covers the other side of the day, from the groom getting ready to guest reactions you would otherwise miss.
Every kind of wedding
We time our movements to yours, staying still through the readings and the promises, then finding the right spot for the first kiss as a married couple. We understand how quickly a ceremony passes, so we prepare thoroughly beforehand and then let the day carry us, catching the vows as they land. As you take your seats and the ceremony begins, we are already positioned, ready for the first look, the tears and the small unguarded reactions.
We photograph the cake, the first dance and the evening party with an easy touch, so the celebration keeps its energy while we quietly gather the pictures. Portraits with your family and closest friends matter, and we make time for them without letting the schedule stall or the day lose its momentum. Between the ceremony and the meal, the drinks reception is where the day breathes, and we move through it gathering the warmth and the conversation.

The whole celebration
The morning sets the emotional tone, and we photograph it gently, catching a parent's proud look or a friend fastening a difficult button. When a celebration runs over several days, we shape a plan that keeps our energy and yours steady, so the first day is as strong as the last.
A good record of the day has a shape to it, a beginning, a middle and an end, and we build that arc rather than collecting a pile of loose pictures. We give equal care to the quiet moments and the big ones, so the finished set tells the whole story of the day, not just its highlights.
Why choose us
Because we have shot in so many settings, we can advise gently on timings and light while planning, which helps the photography sit comfortably within your day. Our long track record gives couples confidence that we will turn up prepared, work through the whole day, and deliver the pictures we promised on time.
We are used to travelling for weddings, so reaching your venue in Greater London is straightforward, and we happily follow the day from preparations through to the evening. A day that moves between two or three venues asks for careful timing, and we sort the route and the schedule well before we leave for Harrow, Barnet.

Where we travel
You focus on the day and we handle the travel, arriving early at your Greater London venue and staying as long as the plan requires. We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Greater London are all comfortably within our reach.

Yes, and we have dedicated coverage for Asian and multicultural weddings, with experience across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim and mixed-tradition celebrations. These days often run across several events, so please ask about our specialist pages and multi-day options. We will make sure the customs and people that matter to both families are photographed with real understanding.
Yes, every booking comes with a clear written agreement that sets out what is included, the hours of coverage, the costs, and the payment dates. It protects both of us and means there is no confusion later on. We will happily answer any questions before you sign, so you feel completely comfortable.
Once you are happy to go ahead, we hold your date with a signed agreement and a booking fee. Until both are in place we cannot promise the date will still be free, as we take a limited number of weddings each year. We would always encourage you to get in touch early to avoid disappointment.
We plan the family groups with you beforehand and agree a short, realistic list, so nobody stands around waiting. On the day we call names clearly and keep each set moving, usually finishing the formal shots within twenty to thirty minutes. That leaves you more time to enjoy your guests.
Yes, and we recommend them. A relaxed pre-wedding shoot lets us get to know each other, helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera and often calms any nerves about the wedding day itself. You also come away with lovely images you can use for save-the-dates or a guest sign-in book.
Yes. Brent and the wider Greater London area are well within our usual coverage, and we travel across the UK for weddings with no surprise travel cost added on. We like to discuss your venues and the route between them in advance, so the timings work and the day runs to plan.
