Signing is a different problem: a pen, a document and several heads leaning in over it, all at table height in whatever light the room happens to have. We would rather light that properly than rescue it later. The walima is another kind of job entirely, a lit event with its own stage, and the useful question there is who controls that lighting and whether they will take a request.
