A northern Harrow suburb that runs up to the wooded green belt at Harrow Weald Common, with a quiet residential character. Served by Harrow and Wealdstone station to the south on the Bakerloo line and London Overground, with buses along the A409 Uxbridge Road. For portraits away from the celebration, Harrow Weald Common and the adjacent Bentley Priory Nature Reserve works beautifully, and Grim's Dyke, the former home of librettist W.S. Gilbert, now a Grade II listed hotel adds a real sense of place.

From the baraat to the muhurtham

We are ready for the giving of the sindoor and the tying of the mangalsutra at a Hindu ceremony. At the gurdwara, the couple's walk around the Guru Granth Sahib during each laav is captured with reverence. The garland exchange, when the couple meet with the jaimala, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph.

We capture the groom's arrival in procession, on a horse, in a car or on foot, surrounded by dancing family. We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. We photograph the bridal and groom's preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye.
