…Kaushik has an incredible eye for detail and an exceptional talent for capturing those fleeting, candid moments that made our wedding so unique. The photos are absolutely stunning—full of emotion, vibrancy, and creativity. He didn’t just take photographs; he told the story of our wedding day in the most heartfelt and artistic way possible.

I booked the family portrait for my family and it was a wonderful experience. Kaushik is such a great photographer, able to coax a smile from any reluctant person. Making the decision of which pictures to chose is particularly difficult as they are all good.

Home ground

Northwood Hills, Northwood and Moor Park: the studio's own corner

The studio sits on the Joel Street parade, a short walk from Northwood Hills station, where a Metroland-inspired mural now runs along both sides of the station bridge after the 2014 town centre improvements funded by the GLA and Hillingdon Council. Northwood itself is 0.4 miles away and Pinner Green 0.6, so for families in Northwood, Northwood Hills and Moor Park the easiest option can be to drop in, see the room and book there and then.

Northwood has more character than its commuter reputation suggests. A triangle of the old High Street, Chester Road and Hallowell Road is protected for its ornate Victorian brick houses, the wider area holds 22 listed buildings, and its streets once stood in for Surbiton as the homes of the Goods and the Leadbetters in The Good Life. A walk from the studio towards The Glen, with its 1950s maisonettes set among protected mature trees, makes an easy backdrop for a relaxed family or portrait session.

Inside eight miles

Harrow, Pinner, Ruislip and Stanmore: a short drive either way

Most of the area lies within a few miles of Joel Street. Pinner is 1.5 miles, Eastcote 1.6, Hatch End 1.7 and Ruislip 1.8; North Harrow and Rayners Lane are about two and a half; Harrow itself is 3.5 and Stanmore 4.5. For anyone in these towns the choice is simple: a short drive to the studio, or Kaushik comes to your home, garden or a park near you.

Two boroughs share this inner ring. The London Borough of Harrow, formed in 1965, is made up of the three towns of Harrow, Pinner and Stanmore and borders Hertfordshire to the north. Hillingdon, which takes in Ruislip, Ickenham, Uxbridge and the studio's own streets, is the westernmost London borough and the second largest of the 32 by area, so a Hillingdon booking can mean anything from a back garden in Eastcote to the canal at Cowley.

The outer ring

Wembley, Hayes, Colindale and Willesden: we come to you

Beyond about six miles the map turns towards Brent and Barnet. Wembley and Wembley Park are 6.0 miles from the studio, Kingsbury and Burnt Oak 6.4, Alperton and Hayes 6.5, Colindale 7.0, West Drayton 7.2, Neasden 7.7 and Willesden 8.5. Here the usual pattern is that Kaushik travels to you for a session, and travel from Northwood is quoted up front and set out in writing before you book.

Brent itself was created in 1965 from the old municipal boroughs of Wembley and Willesden and takes its name from the River Brent. On the eastern edge, Edgware lies mainly in Barnet but spills into Harrow, and both boroughs have a ward called Edgware. That patchwork matters most for weddings, because the register office you use depends on the borough, and less for portraits, which simply happen wherever suits you.

Landmarks from Harrow Hill to Uxbridge worth planning a portrait around

St Mary's Church on Harrow Hill, consecrated in 1094, is the highest building in Middlesex, and its churchyard looks out towards Canary Wharf, the BT Tower and Wembley Stadium. A few miles north, Headstone Manor in North Harrow was begun around 1310 and is the earliest surviving timber-framed building in Middlesex, set in more than 50 acres of park restored in 2021 with new wetland and a perimeter path.

Hillingdon has its own set. Manor Farm at the top of Ruislip High Street is a 22-acre heritage site with a Tudor farmhouse, the Great Barn and a duck pond; Ruislip Lido began in 1811 as a canal feeder reservoir and now has a sandy beach backed by woodland; Uxbridge Market House, finished in 1788, stands on around 50 Doric columns. Hillingdon Council requires permission for professional photographs in its parks and green spaces, so if one of them is on your list, allow time to apply through the Hillingdon Film Office before your date.

To the east, the 134-metre arch of Wembley Stadium and the 58 Spanish Steps on Wembley Park Boulevard give a city edge, while the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, built without structural steel from Bulgarian limestone and Italian and Indian marble, is a landmark in its own right.

Yes. The studio is on the Joel Street parade in Northwood Hills, 0.4 miles from Northwood, and for families in Northwood, Northwood Hills and Moor Park the simplest option is to call in. Ring or WhatsApp 07956 505383 first so Kaushik is free to talk rather than mid-session.

Yes. Harrow is 3.5 miles from the studio, Pinner 1.5 and Ruislip 1.8, so it is a short drive either way: you can come to Northwood Hills, or Kaushik brings the kit to your home, garden or a nearby park. The drive from Northwood for a home visit is set out in your written quote.

You apply for it yourself through the Hillingdon Film Office, so allow time for that before your date and mention the place when you enquire.

Session prices are given on request, because they depend on the type of session, where it happens and what you want at the end. Ring or WhatsApp Kaushik on 07956 505383 with the details. Wedding photography is the one price on the site: from £750.

Yes. Edgware is 5.9 miles from the studio, Burnt Oak 6.4 and Colindale 7.0. Kaushik comes to you there for family, portrait and business sessions, and couples marrying in Barnet use the register office at Hendon Town Hall, where he photographs ceremonies too.

Harrow ceremonies are at The Pavilion on College Road, Hillingdon's at the Civic Centre on Uxbridge High Street, and Brent's at Brent Civic Centre on Engineers Way in Wembley. Hillingdon's office also handles notices of marriage for the borough, including Ruislip. Check the rules for your own borough when you give notice.
