Mums-to-be
Solo portraits that celebrate the bump, in colour and black and white.

Calm, flattering bump portraits in the Northwood studio, for you alone or with your partner and children, ideally between 28 and 34 weeks.
The short answer
Maternity photoshoots take place in the studio on The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, a short drive from Harrow, Pinner, Ruislip and Watford and two minutes' walk from Northwood Hills station. The best time is between about 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is clearly rounded but you are still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy it. Sessions are booked in advance; call or WhatsApp 07956 505383 with your due date and we will plan the timing with you.
The session
The studio is warm and the session is unhurried, with time to sit down between set-ups. Posing is guided gently throughout, so you never have to wonder where to put your hands, and we keep going until you have pictures you love.
The studio gives clean, timeless portraits whatever the weather, with full control over the light. If you would rather be outdoors in spring blossom or autumn colour, say so and we will advise on the best option for the season.

Timing
Weeks 28 to 32 suit classic, styled sessions while energy is good and posing is comfortable; weeks 33 to 36 show the bump at its largest, though some poses may feel harder. If you are expecting twins, the session is usually planned nearer 28 weeks. Book a few weeks ahead so the date lands inside that window.
Wardrobe
The aim is to show the bump, not hide it. Bring something fitted and something flowing: bump-hugging pieces show the shape, while long dresses and gowns add movement. Solid colours photograph cleanly, and we are happy to advise on a palette before the day.
Partners and older children are welcome in the frame and often make the warmest pictures of the set.
