Really professional. Kaushik captured some amazing pictures for my graduation with my family.

Karissa, Google review, 2021

Kaushik Bathia took photos of highest quality of a pre-wedding celebration event at Bombay Brasserie. He also prepared an app of selected photos. He was very helpful indeed and I thoroughly recommend him

Damyanti T., Google review, 2025

We had our family portraits done many years ago with Kaushik Bathia and we loved them so we have now returned again this time with new additions to the family. On all the occasions we went Kaushik Bathia has taken care of everyone and made everyone laugh and smile especially the children in order to get the best photos.

The local calendar

Pinner Fair, the Ickenham Festival and the area's own occasions

Some of North West London's events are older than the suburbs around them. Pinner Fair has been held every year since 1336, when Edward III granted it a royal charter, and the Pinner Business Hub, a volunteer traders' group, runs Midsummer D'Light on Bridge Street with live music and market stalls. In Ickenham, the biennial Ickenham Festival has run since 1976 and usually centres on a June gala day that ends with a fête in the grounds of Swakeleys House.

In Hatch End, local traders have funded festive street lighting and switch-on events on the Broadway. If you are a traders' group, a school association, a charity or a business taking a stand at one of these, you can book coverage of your part of the day: the stall, the people running it and the crowd around it. In Harrow, the council's permission is needed to run an event in a public space, which is the organiser's to arrange. Pinner is 1.5 miles from the studio and Hatch End 1.7.

Rooms people hire

Ruislip's Winston Churchill Hall and the other rooms people hire

In Ruislip, the Winston Churchill Theatre and Hall on Pinn Way is a 1960s community theatre and function venue run by Hillingdon Council within the Manor Farm heritage site. Elsewhere in North West London, parties, launches and awards nights take place in church halls, community centres, restaurants and function rooms from Hatch End to Wembley Park, and each room photographs differently: a stage at one end, a low ceiling, or a run of windows down one side.

Every hall has its own access times, so let us know when the doors open to you and when the guests arrive, and Kaushik plans around both. For a party, we agree the must-have pictures beforehand: the cake, the speeches, the family groups and the people who travelled furthest. The rest of the evening is covered quietly, without stopping the room. More on how event coverage works is on the event photography page, and the nearest local pages are events in Northwood and events in Harrow.

Parish churches

Christenings under medieval roofs in Ruislip, Pinner and Little Stanmore

The area's old parish churches make memorable christening settings. St Martin of Tours on Ruislip High Street is Grade I listed, built mainly of flint with a 15th-century tower, a 12th-century Purbeck marble font and medieval wall paintings including the Seven Deadly Sins. St John the Baptist at the top of Pinner High Street was consecrated in 1321. St Lawrence on Whitchurch Lane in Canons Park was rebuilt in Baroque style for the Duke of Chandos, with painted walls and ceiling, and is believed to be where Handel's Chandos Anthems were first performed.

Each church sets its own rules for photography during a service, so ask the vicar or priest before the day and tell us what they say; Kaushik works within it. The party afterwards, at home or in a hired room, is where the relaxed family groups happen. For the full christening guide see christening photography in North West London and the national christening photography page.

Community celebrations

Celebrations in Rayners Lane, Kenton, Alperton, Stanmore and Edgware

North West London's communities give it a full calendar of family occasions. Rayners Lane has one of London's largest Tamil communities, and at the 2021 census 39.9% of the ward's residents identified as Hindu, the highest share of any Harrow ward. Kenton has several Hindu temples, including the Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple, as well as Jain, Orthodox Christian and Jewish institutions. In Alperton, Gujarati was the most spoken language after English at the 2011 census.

Stanmore has Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jain and Jewish communities, and Edgware's largest single religious group is its Jewish community. Whatever the occasion, from a milestone birthday to a religious celebration at home, tell us the order of the day and any customs around photography, and coverage follows them. Rayners Lane is about 2.5 miles from the studio and Edgware about 5.9; Kaushik comes to you, and travel from Northwood is quoted up front and set out in writing before you book.

For business

Conferences, launches and awards from Brent Civic Centre to Stockley Park

For companies the brief is different: speakers, delegates, sponsor branding and a few candid frames that show the room was full. Brent Civic Centre on Engineers Way has a 30-metre atrium and meeting rooms, Stockley Park houses offices for firms such as Gilead Sciences and Canon, and in Pinner the MSP Business Centre on Chapel Lane has executive conference suites and a boardroom. Kaushik works quietly around the agenda and keeps out of sightlines during talks.

A selection of edited highlights can be ready within a few working days for press and social media, with the complete gallery shortly after. If you also need headshots of the speakers or your own team, the same visit can cover them; see headshots in North West London. For the wider area, see the North West London photographer page.

Planning

Planning around North West London

01

Pinner Fair stall

A traders' group or charity with a stand at Pinner Fair can book coverage of its stall and the crowds on the day, rather than the whole fair.

02

A stage at one end

Tell us whether your hall has a stage, a low ceiling or windows down one side, so the wide shots of a party or awards night are planned before the guests arrive.

03

Ask the vicar first

St Martin's in Ruislip and St John the Baptist in Pinner each set their own rules for photography during a service, so check before the christening.

04

Harrow public spaces

An event in a Harrow park or public space needs the council's permission, so the organiser should have it in hand before coverage is booked.

05

Ickenham's June gala

The Ickenham Festival usually runs every other year and centres on a June gala day ending with a fête at Swakeleys House.
