The short answer

Do you photograph events in Oxfordshire?

Yes. Kaushik covers christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events and community celebrations in Oxford, Bicester, Banbury and the villages around them. Oxford and Bicester are about 38 miles from the Northwood studio and Banbury about 51, so travel from Northwood is quoted up front and set out in writing before you book. Coverage follows your running order, with the key moments agreed in advance.

Our usual session area is within about 20 miles of the studio. Further out in Oxfordshire, sessions are by arrangement, with travel quoted in writing before you book.

Kaushik Bathia took photos of highest quality of a pre-wedding celebration event at Bombay Brasserie. He also prepared an app of selected photos. He was very helpful indeed and I thoroughly recommend him

Damyanti T., Google review, 2025

Kaushik bhai did the photography for my baby shower and did a phenomenal job! Can't wait to book him for additional events in the future! Thanks for everything!

Rachana P., Google review, 2025

Amazing experience with Kaushik photography. Pictures came out very high quality. The studio is also very nice and family friendly. The photographer there took his time to capture very memorable detail and that meant a lot to my family and I. I’ll definitely recommend Kaushik Bathia

Family occasions

Christenings and family celebrations in Oxfordshire

A christening has a short, fixed service and a lot happening at once, so we agree the moments that matter beforehand: the arrival, the godparents, the font and a family group outside. Old churches can be dim, and during the service we work with the light that is there rather than flash, unless the minister says otherwise. Some Oxfordshire churches are very old indeed: St Edburg's in Bicester was built around 1120.

After the service, the gathering usually moves to a home, a restaurant or a hired hall. That part is relaxed: grandparents with the baby, children running about, the cake and a few words. Our christening photography page explains how the day is covered, and if you want pictures of the baby at home in the weeks before, see newborn photography in Oxfordshire.

Parties

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family parties

A 50th, a ruby anniversary or a first birthday is mostly about people, so the work is candid: guests arriving, conversations, the cake, the toast and the dance floor. We also take a set of planned groups early, while everyone is fresh and the room is still tidy. In a hall or function room, Kaushik checks the lighting and where speeches will happen before guests arrive.

Asian family celebrations, such as a first-birthday party, an engagement or a religious occasion at home, can pack several rituals and a long guest list into one evening. Tell us the running order and who the key relatives are, and we will make sure no-one important is missed. Kaushik has about 25 years of experience with these gatherings and keeps out of the way of the rituals themselves.

Corporate and community

Corporate and community events in Oxford, Bicester and Banbury

Oxford, home of the University of Oxford, has a steady calendar of conferences, lectures, dinners and award evenings. For those, we photograph speakers, audience reaction, networking, sponsors' branding and the room itself, and can set up a quick headshot corner for guests if you want one. Agree the shot list with us a week ahead so every sponsor and speaker is covered.

Bicester has been a government-designated garden town since 2014, and Banbury, which its district council calls Oxfordshire's largest town, has around 60,000 people. Growing towns bring openings, fun days and local business events, all of which need pictures for newsletters and social media. The event photography page sets out how coverage works.

Planning

Planning an Oxfordshire event with a photographer coming from Northwood

Evening events can run late, and Banbury is about 51 miles from the studio, so we agree the hours of coverage with you in advance. Travel from Northwood is set out in your written quote alongside those hours. Event prices are given on request by phone or WhatsApp on 07956 505383.

Send the venue address, the start and end times, and the moments you cannot miss. If parking is tight in central Oxford, tell us where the nearest place to unload is, as equipment needs to come in close. For everything else we do across the county, see the Oxfordshire photographer page.

Planning

Planning around Oxfordshire

01

Share the running order

A timed list of speeches, cake, rituals and groups lets Kaushik be in the right place at each moment of an Oxfordshire event.

02

Ask about church rules

Ministers set their own rules on photography during a christening service, so check with the church before the day and tell us what was agreed.

03

Plan groups early

Family or team groups taken in the first hour, before guests drift off or the room fills, are easier to organise and look tidier.

04

Agree the finish time

Evening events in Banbury or Oxford can run late, so settle the end of coverage in advance with the drive back to Northwood in mind.

Good to know

Event photography in Oxfordshire: questions answered

Yes. We cover the church service, where the minister allows it, and the gathering afterwards at home or in a hall. Because church interiors can be dark, ask the minister early about photography during the service, so we can plan where to stand and whether any flash is allowed.

Yes: conferences, lectures, dinners, launches and award evenings. We agree a shot list in advance covering speakers, sponsors and guests. If parking is limited at a city-centre venue, tell us the nearest place to unload, since Kaushik arrives with a full kit.

Event prices depend on the hours of coverage and the type of event, and are given on request by phone or WhatsApp on 07956 505383. Travel from Northwood to Oxford, Bicester or Banbury appears in the written quote next to the hours, so you can compare like for like.

Yes. Mehndi nights, engagements, birthday parties and religious celebrations at home or in a hall are all covered, with the same attention to ritual and family that goes into an Asian wedding. Tell us the order of events and the relatives who matter most.

A christening with a gathering afterwards often fits into three hours. A birthday party is usually covered from arrival to the cake and first dance, around three to four hours. A conference may need a full day. We will suggest hours once we see your plan.

Yes. Fairs, openings, charity days and faith celebrations in both towns can be covered. Bicester is about 38 miles from the studio and Banbury about 51, so let us know the date early, particularly for summer weekends.

Every session is photographed by Kaushik Bathia himself, FBIPP and FMPA, holder of five European Kodak Gold Awards, who opened the Northwood studio in 2001.
