Banbury is a market town with country-house venues. Our couples marry in village churches, converted barns, marquees and elegant hotels right across Oxfordshire, and we know many of the venues around Bicester, Brackley and Chipping Norton well. Whether the setting is a grand nave or a simple garden marquee, we work with the available light and the sightlines to record the ceremony honestly.

Light guides much of what we do; we chase the soft hour, work with candlelight and use what a venue gives us to shape frames that feel timeless. We shoot with a storyteller's eye, watching how the day connects together, so the finished collection reads as a narrative rather than a set of separate photographs. Rather than lining people up, we let groups form on their own and photograph them as they laugh and talk, keeping the whole thing loose and relaxed.

Banbury is a market town on the River Cherwell, famous for the Banbury Cross nursery rhyme and for Banbury cakes. Banbury station is on the Chiltern Main Line and the Cherwell Valley Line, and junction 11 of the M40 lies just east of the town. For portraits away from the celebration, Spiceball Park, the riverside park beside the Cherwell and the Oxford Canal works beautifully, and Banbury Cross, the stone monument at the centre of the town adds a real sense of place.
