Ask about church rules
Ministers set their own rules on photography during a christening service, so ask in advance and we will work quietly within them.
Christenings, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, religious celebrations and company events across Berkshire, photographed quietly from the first guest's arrival to the final speech.
The short answer
Yes. Kaushik photographs christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, religious and community celebrations, and corporate events in homes, halls, hotels and offices across Berkshire, from Slough, about 10 miles from the studio, to Newbury, about 42. You agree the hours and a short list of must-have photographs beforehand, and travel from Northwood is set out in your written quote, with the event price given on request by phone or WhatsApp.
Our usual session area is within about 20 miles of the studio. Further out in Berkshire, sessions are by arrangement, with travel quoted in writing before you book.
Kaushik bhai did the photography for my baby shower and did a phenomenal job! Can't wait to book him for additional events in the future! Thanks for everything!
We used Kaushik for my wife’s 50th and the service and quality of work was amazing. Really happy to recommend him.
Kaushik is a fantastic photographer and has captured some superb family memories for us! Great service with high quality, professional images.
Family occasions
A christening usually has two parts: the service and a lunch or party afterwards, at home or in a hired room. During the service Kaushik works quietly from the side and back, without flash, and checks beforehand what the minister allows. Outside afterwards, an old church makes a good backdrop for the family group; the Norman parish church of St Mary in Thatcham, largely rebuilt in 1857, is a Grade II* listed example.
Birthdays and anniversaries vary from a garden party for a first birthday to a sit-down dinner for a 60th or a golden wedding. The pictures that matter most are often the guests rather than the décor: grandparents meeting a new baby, old friends arriving, the toast and the cake. We agree a list of the people who must appear together, so nobody is missed when the room is busy.

Community and faith
Berkshire's population is varied, and that shows in its celebrations. At the 2021 census 46.9 per cent of Slough's residents were Asian, and after English the most commonly spoken languages were Punjabi, Polish and Urdu. A Diwali gathering, an Eid party, a path at home before a wedding, a first communion lunch or a community association dinner are all part of event photography.
For religious events, the etiquette of the place comes first. Heads are covered and shoes removed where required, photographs during prayers are taken from a respectful distance or not at all, and the family or organiser tells us beforehand which moments may be photographed. Afterwards the meal, the greetings and the family groups are covered as fully as at any party.
Larger community events in the county happen outdoors too. Sandhurst Memorial Park, for example, hosts events including a fireworks display around Guy Fawkes Night. For an organiser, outdoor events need a plan for low light, and Kaushik brings flash and fast lenses for evenings that run past sunset.
Corporate
Berkshire has many large employers, from the head offices clustered in Slough to Waitrose's headquarters in Bracknell's Southern Industrial Area, and their events range from conferences and awards dinners to product launches and summer parties. Corporate coverage usually means speakers on stage, delegates networking, sponsor boards, award presentations and a set of team photographs.
We agree a running order with your events lead before the day, including any people who must be photographed together and any areas that are off limits. The full edited set is delivered within a few working days of the event. For staff portraits on the same visit, see headshots in Berkshire.

On the day
Kaushik arrives before the guests to look at the light and the layout, then works through the event without directing it. Most of the photographs are natural ones: people talking, children running about, a speech landing with the room. Formal groups are kept short and done at a moment the host chooses, usually before the meal or straight after the speeches.
Hours are agreed in advance and the coverage is planned around the moments that matter, such as the cake, a first dance at an anniversary or the presentation at a company dinner. If the event runs longer than planned, we talk to the host before staying on, so any extra time is agreed before it happens.
Distance
Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead are between about 10 and 14 miles from the studio, Ascot and Bracknell under 20, and Reading about 26. Thatcham and Newbury, near 40 miles away, are covered just as fully. Wherever the event is, the journey from Northwood is quoted up front and set out in writing before you book, with the event price given on request.
Christenings have their own national page under christening photography. For family photographs at home or in a park, see family photography in Berkshire, and for weddings and every other service in the county, the Berkshire photographer hub.

Name the five or six groups that matter most, such as grandparents with the baby, so they are photographed early while everyone is still there.
An outdoor event in November, like a park fireworks night, needs flash and a meeting point in the light so faces can be photographed clearly.
Edited images arrive within a few working days, so schedule any social media posts about a Slough or Bracknell company event for after they land.

Good to know
Yes, anywhere in the county. Kaushik covers the service, quietly and within the church's rules, and the party afterwards, at home or in a hall. Most christenings need two to four hours of coverage.
Yes. A path, a puja, a milad or a family gathering at home is photographed with care for the customs involved. Tell us which parts may be photographed and which should be left alone, and we will plan around that.
Yes. Conferences, awards dinners, launches and staff parties are covered across Berkshire. We agree the running order with your events lead beforehand, and the edited images follow within a few working days.
A children's party or a christening lunch is usually two to three hours. A company conference may need a full day, and a large family celebration with a meal and speeches about four. We will suggest a length once we know the running order.
Event prices are given on request by phone or WhatsApp on 07956 505383, since they depend on the hours, the place and what you need delivered. The written quote also shows the travel from Northwood, so you see the whole figure before you book.
Yes, but kept short. We agree the groups in advance and photograph them at a point the host chooses, usually before the meal. The rest of the event is covered naturally, without asking guests to stop and pose.
Yes. Reading is about 26 miles from the studio and Newbury about 42, and both are covered. For an evening event out west, Kaushik plans to arrive early to see the room before the guests come in.
