The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Ascot and throughout Berkshire for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. We move calmly through the day, anticipating where the next moment will land, so we are already in place when it happens instead of chasing it. Whatever your wedding looks like in Ascot, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. Having covered a thousand celebrations, we know where to stand for the confetti, the first dance and the speeches, so the key moments are never missed. Engagement shoots, a second photographer for busier days and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Berkshire and the rest of the UK for your wedding.
Serving Ascot
Ascot is a Berkshire town famous for its racecourse and grand venues. We cover country estates, register offices, hotel ballrooms and rustic barns throughout Berkshire, and we regularly work at venues near Windsor, Sunninghill and Bracknell. We understand that every ceremony has its own rhythm, so we read the room, keep our movement minimal and photograph the vows as they truly happen.
The whole day is covered as it comes, without rehearsed poses or long setups, so you are free to be present with your guests while we quietly work. Our style is documentary at heart; we watch for the glances, the laughter and the quiet pauses, then let those moments become the story of your day. We photograph from a respectful distance during the vows and readings, letting the emotion play out untouched, then move closer only when the moment invites it.
Getting across to Ascot is a straightforward run for us. Ascot is a Berkshire town famous for its racecourse and grand venues, and we photograph weddings here and throughout the surrounding towns, Sandhurst and Thatcham among them. Local wedding venues we know near Ascot include Coworth Park, Macdonald Berystede Hotel and Ascot Racecourse.
Ascot is a Berkshire town best known for Ascot Racecourse, which was founded by Queen Anne in 1711 and hosts the annual Royal Ascot meeting. Ascot railway station has direct South Western Railway services from London Waterloo and sits close to Windsor Great Park. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Windsor Great Park and the Savill Garden, just north of the town, with Ascot Racecourse close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
A few unhurried portraits away from the crowd, done quickly so you are soon back with your guests.
Your high-resolution images arrive in a private online gallery you can view, download and share with family and friends.
We work quietly and keep out of the way, so guests forget we are there and the day feels like your own.
Every kind of wedding
Church, courtyard, clifftop or town hall, wherever you choose to make your promises, we frame the reactions on both sides and the quiet glance you share halfway through. A registry office wedding can be just as moving as any cathedral, and we bring the same attention to the small, tender details wherever your vows take place. The exchange of rings, the signing of the register and the walk back up the aisle all matter to us, and we cover each without asking you to pause.
The confetti line, the receiving line and the toasts each have their own small drama, and we are ready for all of them without asking anyone to pose. Long before the wedding, an engagement or pre-wedding shoot lets us get to know you, so the camera feels familiar by the time the day arrives. From the first toast to the last song, we stay attentive through the evening, photographing the dancing, the laughter and the friends who linger late.

The whole celebration
If you would like a first look before the ceremony, we find a quiet spot for it and photograph that private moment without an audience. We build the timeline around the light as well as the schedule, so portraits and early moments fall when the day looks its most flattering.
We balance the coverage as we go, checking that the small hours of the morning are not lost behind the noise of the evening. From the first cup of tea to the sparklers at the door, we keep the thread of the day intact so nothing feels disconnected in the final set.
Why choose us
After twenty-five years we have learned that reassurance matters as much as skill, so we keep communication clear and easy from your first enquiry onwards. Our long track record means references are easy to come by and albums easy to show, so you can see exactly the standard your day will be photographed to.
We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Berkshire are all comfortably within our reach. Multi-location days, with a ceremony in one place and a reception in another, are something we plan carefully, whether that is within Windsor, Sunninghill and Bracknell or across Berkshire.

Where we travel
Travel is simply part of the job for us, and a venue tucked away in Berkshire is one we will reach comfortably with time to spare. Getting to your venue is our responsibility, not yours, and we regularly cover weddings right across Berkshire and beyond.

Good to know
We can, and many couples like us to stay through the speeches and first dance, as those are some of the warmest moments of the whole day. If you would prefer coverage to finish a little earlier, that works just as well. We will agree the finish time in advance so there are no surprises.
Our approach is mainly documentary, watching the day unfold and catching real moments as they happen. We balance that with a short set of relaxed portraits of the two of you and efficient family groups. The aim is a natural, honest record of your day that still includes the timeless portraits you will want to frame.
Yes. Ascot and the wider Berkshire area are well within our usual coverage, and we travel across the UK for weddings with no surprise travel cost added on. We like to discuss your venues and the route between them in advance, so the timings work and the day runs to plan.
We think it does. After more than twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings, we read a room quickly, sense moments before they happen, and stay calm when the timings wander. That quiet experience means you can relax and be present, knowing the day is in safe and steady hands.
We know plans can change, so if you need to move your date we will always do our best to accommodate you, subject to our availability on the new day. Please let us know as soon as you can, and we will look after you. We aim to be as flexible and understanding as we possibly can.
We offer engagement shoots and many couples find them a lovely warm-up before the wedding. It is a relaxed hour or two that lets us get to know one another, so you feel at ease in front of the camera on the day. The images are yours to use for save-the-dates or simply to enjoy.
Rain is no reason to worry, and some of our favourite images come from wet days. We scout indoor backdrops and covered spots in advance, keep a few clear umbrellas ready and adapt the timing so portraits happen during any dry window. British weather rarely ruins a day, and it often adds atmosphere.
