The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Wokingham and throughout Berkshire for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. You will barely notice us for much of the day, and that is the point; the less we intrude, the more relaxed everyone stays in front of the lens. From intimate register office ceremonies to grand country house weddings, and from village churches to garden and marquee celebrations, we photograph every kind of wedding in and around Wokingham. Having built the business on word of mouth since 2001, we take reliability seriously; being on time, dressed appropriately and ready is simply how we work. You can add an engagement shoot, a second photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Berkshire and beyond, so wherever your day is held it is well within reach.
Serving Wokingham
Wokingham is a market town in leafy Berkshire. From a quiet church ceremony to a large banqueting hall reception, we photograph the full range of venues in and around Berkshire, including Reading, Bracknell and Henley. We keep to the edges during the ceremony, using quiet cameras and natural light so your officiant, your guests and your vows are never interrupted.
Our method is simple: we follow the day rather than direct it, so what you see later is how it actually felt, not a version we staged. Because we work by observing rather than instructing, the day stays yours from beginning to end, and the pictures simply remember it as it was. Our couple portraits are unhurried and easy; we find good light, give a little gentle guidance, then leave room for you to relax and be yourselves.
There is a lot to like about photographing in Wokingham. Wokingham is a market town in leafy Berkshire, and couples from Newbury and Ascot regularly ask us to cover their day here as well. Wokingham and the towns around it offer venues such as Stokes Farm Barn, Sindlesham Court and Cantley House Hotel, all familiar to us.
Wokingham is a market town in central Berkshire with a historic town centre featuring Tudor and Georgian buildings around the Market Place. Wokingham railway station lies at the junction of the Waterloo to Reading line and the North Downs Line, managed by South Western Railway. For portraits away from the celebration, Dinton Pastures Country Park near Wokingham works beautifully, and Wokingham Town Hall in the Market Place adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
From a register office to a country house, we work with the space you have chosen and its own kind of light.
Your high-resolution images arrive in a private online gallery you can view, download and share with family and friends.
We stay from the morning preparations through to the evening, so the whole story is there in one set.
Every kind of wedding
When two traditions come together in one ceremony, we photograph each part with equal warmth so the finished set honours both sides of your family. A registry office wedding can be just as moving as any cathedral, and we bring the same attention to the small, tender details wherever your vows take place. From the moment the doors open to the confetti afterwards, we treat the ceremony as the heart of the day and photograph it with patience and care.
From getting ready in the morning to the final send off, we document the whole day as it flows, so nothing between the big moments is lost. We photograph the arrivals, the confetti and the drinks that follow, giving the reception the same care we bring to the ceremony itself. The cutting of the cake and the first dance often draw the whole room in, and we photograph them from within the crowd so the pictures feel shared.

The whole celebration
Starting with the preparations lets us gather the small details, the shoes, the rings, the handwritten notes, before the day gathers pace around you. A first look, arranged just for the two of you away from everyone, gives us a few unhurried minutes together and usually settles the nerves for the rest of the day.
By staying with you from start to finish, we can show the day building, so the energy on the dance floor clearly comes from somewhere. Some of the pictures you treasure most will be the small ones between events, so we stay present through the whole day and never switch off in the quiet stretches.
Why choose us
We travel throughout the country for weddings and have grown used to new venues quickly, arriving prepared and settling into a room without fuss. Experience means we anticipate what is coming next, so we are ready for the tears during the vows and the laughter in the room before either arrives.
A second photographer can join us when travel or a split-venue day calls for it, so coverage across Reading, Bracknell and Henley and Berkshire stays seamless. You focus on the day and we handle the travel, arriving early at your Berkshire venue and staying as long as the plan requires.

Where we travel
We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Berkshire are all comfortably within our reach. You should never have to think about how we get there; reaching venues throughout Berkshire is something we quietly take care of.

Good to know
Absolutely. Our style is largely documentary, so we tell the story of your day as it naturally unfolds, without lots of stiff posing. We will still gather the handful of family groups you would like, then step back and let the day breathe. You should feel present at your own wedding, not managed through it.
Of course. A wedding runs on teamwork, so we liaise happily with your planner, venue coordinator, celebrant, videographer and band to keep the day flowing. We stay aware of the schedule and step back for key moments like the ceremony and speeches, so everyone gets what they need without treading on each other.
We offer professional prints, framed pieces and wall art produced by trusted UK labs, so the colour and quality match how the images look on screen. You can also print your own from the high-resolution files. If you want help choosing which frames suit a wall, we are happy to advise.
We edit every selected image by hand for colour, exposure and tone, keeping skin and daylight looking natural rather than heavily filtered. Retouching stays light, so we remove passing distractions and blemishes without reshaping how you actually look. If anything specific concerns you, tell us early and we will note it before the day.
You receive a private online gallery of high-resolution images, which you can view, download and share with family and friends from any device. The gallery includes full-size files suitable for printing. We keep a backup for a set period after delivery, so nothing is lost if you misplace your copies.
The easiest first step is to call us on 07956 505383, or send us a message with your date and venue in Wokingham. We will check availability, arrange a chat or a meeting, and talk through what you have in mind. Once you are happy, a signed agreement and booking fee secure the day.
We can, and many couples like us to stay through the speeches and first dance, as those are some of the warmest moments of the whole day. If you would prefer coverage to finish a little earlier, that works just as well. We will agree the finish time in advance so there are no surprises.
